I visited San Tan Valley VW when I first was inquiring about purchasing a year and a half ago. I had a great experience the first time I went in the Spring of 2012 (I think his name was Ron) although the about purchasing a year and a half ago. Six months later in Nov 2012 I went in again and the salesman that I was dealing with (can't remember his name) was terrible. He was a fast talking, pushy and a very sterotypical "car salesman". I went through all the way to having them appraise my vehicle but I was not treated with respect or courtesy; it was as if he just wanted get it over with. I decided to purchase a vehicle with Lunde's in Peoria which is 60+ miles from my house in Gilbert. I then came in to San Tan in February 2013 to inquire about getting touch up paint and was told that it was not in stock and to "check back" because they get it in every so often. (really?) I then stopped in 3 months ago in April 2013 to San Tan and inquired about Service Express (which Lunde's provides) to get my first service done and I was told that this dealership didn't provide that service and I had to make an appointment to get it done and it was to be paid for by me; to which I declined, obviously. Today July 26, 2013 I was called by Stephanie to give my opinion about my experience with San Tan VW and given Lorin's phone number as an option to call about my "recent" visit to San Tan Valley. When I called at 5:30pm Lorin had no idea why I called and sounded like I was bothering him asking me to refresh his memory. After I told him that I had not been there in a long time and didn't understand the reason for the call he asked me about my visit to San Tan and I told him all about the terrible service I had encountered trying to buy a car, get touch-up paint and my first service. Lorin had NOTHING to say other than he would take note. He went on about that San Tan was #1 on this site for VW dealerships in the Valley for 2012 and 2013 and that amazes me because my experiences have not been anything but bad. What a true manager would do is apologize for my experiences and ask me to come back but that didn't hapen. He didn't apologize for my bad experience, he didn't ask me to come in or how he could make it better... he just went on and about his rating on this site. I want to say that I would rather drive the 60+ miles to Lunde's Peoria VW to get my work done even though I live 3 miles from San Tan VW. San Tan VW should take a customer service course from Lunde's... as Lunde's is amazing and they can say that they are the #1 VW dealership in the USA. More

I have to tell you that this was one of the most pleasant experiences if not the most pleasant i have had a car dealership. My wife and I came in to start the process of getting a car. Without any of the "cl experiences if not the most pleasant i have had a car dealership. My wife and I came in to start the process of getting a car. Without any of the "cliche" sales pitches by Ron, we enced up with a lease on a new Jetta. Christian was great to deal with in the finance end. We were explained everything and I felt comfortable walking out of the dealership that we were treated as fairly as possible. I came to San Tan Volkswagen after my sister just leased a 2013 jetta. Never did I imagine walking out that day with the same credit. Jack was extremely helpful and gave me an amazing deal. My husband and I were looking for a car that our family could share, including our soon to be 16 yr old daughter. We looked at multiple options - older used cars (i.e. high miles and lower sticker price) t could share, including our soon to be 16 yr old daughter. We must have talked to at least 15 dealerships and many we found to be so shady and manipulative - many not willing to provide information unless we drove to the dealership. We live in San Tan Valley and driving for an hour to talk to a car salesman wasnt on our to-do list. We were nearing a point where we were just going to stop the search for a bit, and San Tan VW was my last effort. I shared with Seth that I'd already been through so many sales guys and asked if he could please just give me what I asked for. Seth did exactly that. He even made sure to have the car we'd asked to test drive pulled into the garage and cooling off from the 110 degree heat that day, ready for us to drive. He had also worked to make sure Christian was familiar with our situation, and Christian also did a great job to help us take care of all the paperwork as quickly as possible. The dealership has followed up to make sure we are happy with our new Jetta, and I would highly recommend Seth, Christian and this dealership, to anyone interested in buying a great car without the headache we saw in the majority of other dealerships we'd contacted. I went to San Tan VW after spending more than 2 hours at another dealership where their main concern was the bottom line and not my needs. Jack listened intently and found me exactly what I was looking for at the price I needed. I was given great value for my trade in and drove off less than 2 hours later with my new Tiguan. I highly recommend anyone looking to purchase a new or used car to give this dealership a hard look. The team at this dealership are friendly, not pushy, and will work with you to get you the car you want. It is not your "big box" dealership, and neither are the staff.
