We had been to another dealership and were treated so awful that we almost gave up on the idea of buying a car. A few weeks later, I responded to an ad for a 2010 white beetle convertible at San Tan and Sam answered almost immediately. While we were discussing the 2010, Sam recalled that a beetle convertible had been traded in the previous evening and he'd check out the details and call me right back. It was the exact car we were looking for. We arranged to come out that evening and look at both cars. Sam had them ready for us and we took turns driving around. The 2010 wasn't exactly what we wanted and out of our price range. The 2007 hadn't been priced yet since it hadn't even been on the lot for 24 hours but we were able to negotiate a very, very fair price with Sam and John. Since the car hadn't been through inspection and certification, we had to leave it there. The next day (Saturday) was my wife's birthday so I really wanted to bring it home for her. Sam was able push it through on a short schedule service day and make it happen.I don't think I've ever said this about a car sales person, but Sam was very honest and hardworking. After researching the 2013 VW Pasaat online, we located a car we were interested in looking at and possibly purchasing. A call made to SanTan verified that the car we were looking at online was at the deale car we were interested in looking at and possibly purchasing. A call made to SanTan verified that the car we were looking at online was at the dealership and could be seen on Saturday. After speaking with the salesman and driving the car, the negotiation process began. One of the first things we noticed was that the price was $4000 more than was advertised on the web site. A very poor attempt to explain this discrepancy was made by the salesman--connected to the 'mark-up' factor based on the fact that it is a model that is hard to get--we would find this at most dealerships. Even with the discounted $1700, we were still about $2000 over the advertised internet price. If there is some tiny print on the internet that explains what games dealership will play when you arrive on the lot, we missed it. We left with no clear explanation for the difference so the logical explanation that we came to was this was a bait and switch tactic which, if not completely illegal, is very unethical and a poor way to do business. We came to Phoenix with the intent to drive this car home, but refuse to purchase from a dealer with these kind of unethical practices. More
Had a wonderful, easy experience with San Tan VW. Second car purchased in less than a year. First a CC, the a Passat. Devon is easy going and low pressure, she was very thorough. When we walked in on a Saturday afternoon, Sam Ezell immediately greeted us in a friendly manner and asked how he could help. We went and sat down and we told him all about our situation. We actually went in on a whim and wanted to test drive the car we have been interested in for a year - A Golf TDI. They had the exact car we were looking for! They actually had 3 of them. He went with my wife and me on a test drive and we loved the car. IT was everything we wanted and hoped for. When we went back, Sam worked with us to figure out the best payment plan. He clearly presented our options and explained the difference between leasing and buying. He was able to give us exact numbers after only a few minutes of checking our credit. Unfortunately, we had to go home and figure out some things but they were very understanding. We can back the next morning and found to our dismay that Sam was not there at the time. That's okay though, because Jack picked up right where Sam left off and there was no time wasted trying to explain our situation and the deal we had worked out with Sam. This was wonderful and JAck was just as every bit friendly and helpful as Sam was the day before. This was our first buying experience and in the end, the process was very enjoyable and memorable. I absolutely recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a VW! Thanks San Tan VW! More

Its a 45 minute drive away. We worked with Jack who was very attentive and made return calls when promised. When they had a question about something unusual on my credit Jack asked me about it - and when I explained it - the finance specialist called the bank to verify it was paid off and that was good enough to get the deal done. The other two dealerships are still hem-hawing and I drove my brand new car TONIGHT! Jack was professional, friendly and courteous throughout and I still can't believe how fast it all happened. I've never been in a new car so quickly. Usually you have to wait for the sales drones to try to play the "leave em hanging then swoop in for the kill" game (as if that works anymore) and then when they finally make their rip-off, er, "offer" you still have to drive over and sit at the dealership for at least two hours before you either sign papers or have a break-down due to the torture of simply being there. If you want fast, friendly, professional service - you want Santan VW. Thanks Santan VW - You can count on me for future business. More
