Of course the scorpion does sting the frog and as they are both drowning, the frog asks the scorpion why he has doomed them? "It's in my nature," said the scorpion. Car dealers lie. It's in their nature. For example, here is some interesting Carspeak that I learned from Mitch at Kentson: "We aren't in the business of keeping your deposit if you don't find a car you are happy with" = we absolutely intend to keep your deposit, even if the reason you don't ultimately buy a car from us is because we lied to you. "We'll give you an extra $900 on your trade" = We will not give you an extra $900 on your trade, hoping you won’t notice the discrepancy in the paperwork, then we’ll try to explain that we're giving you an "extra" $900 in tax savings, when in reality you were going to save that $$ anyway. I only wish I could recommend a different dealer, but see the fable above. More
