Alexandra, thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We value all of our customers and strive to uphold the honest car buying reputation we have. We apologize that you feel you were mislead on your purchase. Just to clarify this situation from our standpoint at Kentson Car Company. Never once when you came to our dealership and met us in person did we or your salesman tell you that the vehicle had the upgraded suspension system (KDSS) on the 2016 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition which you purchased. If you take a look back at our advertisement of the vehicle, no where in our ad did we ever advertise that this vehicle had the above mentioned suspension. We have sold many of these and are very familiar with all 4Runner models. We are fully aware that they all do not have this (KDSS) suspension system, which is surprising to us that you say someone told you over the phone that it had the upgraded suspension. We priced the vehicle accordingly to how we sold it WITHOUT the suspension. You bought the lowest priced 4Runner Trail Edition in the entire State of Utah for comparables. You purchased the vehicle for $34,750 and suggested NADA retail value is $38,975. The consumer has to have some responsibility when buying a car as well. If this upgrade was so important, then surely you would have asked us when you came and saw the vehicle in person. The whole purchase of the vehicle (which took 3 days and multiple visits) was based off of a 5 minute phone call that you say someone told you the vehicle had the suspension. When you came to our dealership, never once did you ask us, or look for yourself as the consumer if it had the feature that was so important to you. Never once was it brought up with our sales team, and you have confirmed this with us. Our dealership is more than happy to allow any one of our potential customers to take any of our vehicles for any 3rd party inspection. We feel that not only did our advertisement explain in detail the features the car did in fact have. We never put any pressure for you to buy the car and you had adequate time to make the decision and for these reasons we don’t feel it’s necessary to just write a check for $1,350 (NADA Book Value of said suspension) because we never mislead/misadvertised you to believe it had it other than a 5 minute phone call you claim to have had prior to ever visiting our dealership. Just a couple weeks ago you wrote us a review and stated “ The low pressure, no haggle process was virtually stress free. Chase was very informative, helpful, and professional.” You had a very great experience with us, this all came about a month later after you visited a Toyota Dealership that's a competitor of ours and now you feel your car isn’t of any value without this suspension. We even offered to buy back your vehicle even for $1,000 over trade price to help the situation but you declined. There’s nothing else we can do at this point and are disappointed you feel that we deserve a bad review after 17 years of business and over 1,400 positive Dealer Rater reviews.
