We were going to buy a new 2021 Hyundai Sonata Limited from a dealer much further away but we saw they had a dealer rating of 1 star, so we looked and saw Kerry had the vehicle I wanted there except with from a dealer much further away but we saw they had a dealer rating of 1 star, so we looked and saw Kerry had the vehicle I wanted there except with a lot of extras I didn’t want, like first aid kit, wheel locks, and the list goes on. By email and phone, Marty was working to get the deal the same as the other dealer offered us and get my financing ready to save time at the dealership. I already filed out the info on-line and accepted their offer of $31,830 + Tax, and DMV and overinflated $349 Doc Fee. We were going to come down the coming weekend but was worried about the incoming snow but he said he was sure they could have financing ready, I confirmed with him it was ready and he said yes so, my wife and I both took a vacation day. We got there and guess what, Financing was not ready, we ended up being there over 3 hours just waiting. Marty gave to use another salesperson to show us the car, take it for a drive if we wanted and answer any questions about the car but we didn’t need anything, we drove a 2020 model and I knew all the features already. Finally, someone came to take us back to finance, so far, we have not seen any actual numbers or the value they were giving me on my trade so I assume the deal was as I accept or they got it down to the other dealers. I will say so far everyone was polite and very friendly. The finance guy was friendly and was getting a stack of papers together, as he had everything highlighted so all we had to do was sign as he handed us the paper and then he pushes the next on to us. I started to look at the finance agreement and he asked what I was looking for, I told him I wanted to see the value of my trade and the numbers as we have not seen them yet, he said look at this paper it is easier to read. Then we got to extras to buy, he was very high pressure and pushy to get Gap insurance even though I had my insurance person working on it and I told him that and then he said they would lower the interest rate if I got the Gap through them, so I said OK, not sure how much interest he lowered it from. Then they snuck a theft insurance contract in, we were not told what the paper was just sign, we didn’t want it and they agreed to refund the $200 after I emailed them that night but it has been 2 weeks, no check yet. The Gap insurance was almost $1,300, very overpriced. All the paperwork was stapled inside an envelope, that said keep in glovebox. I thought there is personal info in there so I took it all out and went through it, and that was how I found the theft insurance paper. They prepped the car before we left, full tank of gas and whatever they use to sanitize the car left spots everywhere and he got it on the windshield, left a greasy residue and even on the heads-up display screen. They are friendly but they will rip you off, and they will lie so buyer beware. Was the worse buying experience I ever had, left feeling like I was ripped off and lied too. More
All Kerry Chevy personnel from receptionist, Eddie Monroe, Mike Hillner, the sales manager, Marty Hoober, the detailers made me feel welcomed and appreciated. I did not feel as if I had to battle wit Monroe, Mike Hillner, the sales manager, Marty Hoober, the detailers made me feel welcomed and appreciated. I did not feel as if I had to battle with anyone to get a good test drive or get the deal & car I wanted. I will let you know that there is a very small paint scrape on the back passenger door edge. I want to get a little bit of touch up paint to protect my beautiful new car. More
