Last Saturday I went out checkbook and credit pre-approval in hand with the express desire to buy a new car by the end of the day. I went to one Ford dealer on the eastside and one all the way on the westside. Neither of those were dealerships I would go to again mostly because of the sales staff. Having gone east and then west I decided I would try somewhere in the middle and went to Kerry Ford, a dealership I had never heard of before but found doing an Internet search through Siri. Unlike the other two dealerships I was greeted enthusiastically by Aaron Barber, one of their salesmen, who listened to what I was looking for and took me to two cars both of which exactly met my needs in the price range I was looking. Aaron did a great job making me feel comfortable with the purchase process and during the negotiations. After a little bit of minor price haggling and the mandatory salesman’s visit to the “back room “ and the short sales pitch for the extended warranty (which I declined) I walked out of there with exactly the car I wanted. And what really surprised me is not only did they have the car all vacuumed cleaned up and ready to go they also included a full tank of gas. Which I thought was a real class act. I was also impressed with their follow up. When I had a question the next day on a Sunday afternoon and emailed Aaron and he responded to me within an hour. Even on his day off. And not two days later I got a call by the sales manager asking me how I liked their service and discussing when I would be able to leave the car to add the trailer hitch that was part of the transaction. His assistant Danielle also informed me, that while the trailer hitch was being added they were giving me a free loaner. Aaron Barber is a great salesman and Kerry Ford is a great dealership. Nice cars, nice salesmen (Blake, Cincinnati Ohio) deceiving sales managers and finance department. Was told a price and signed 10K more unknowingly and confused due to finance and manager trying to t deceiving sales managers and finance department. The service department is one of if not the worse I have dealt with in my 50 years of driving. I dropped my car off in October and mentioned a couple of concerns. (1) the convertible top was going slower th dealt with in my 50 years of driving. I dropped my car off in October and mentioned a couple of concerns. (1) the convertible top was going slower than normal. (2) The air wasn't blowing out good on High AC. I also requested an inspection as it hasn't been inspected since I purchased the 2000 Mustang. The inspection came back with recommended air conditioning evac and recharge. Nothing else was discussed at that time. Less than a month and maybe 50 miles later I was selling the car and the convertible top quit working. I took it back to Kerry and told them the problem and also when the roadway was wet I noticed the front brakes pulsing during a hard stop. The driver side hydraulic cylinder was bad. When I googled the symptoms I had prior to first visit the diagnosis was a bad cylinder. Part was $300.00 when online could get the cylinder for $88.00. Next, they told me the brakes pads were dangerously thin, less than 2MM. So in 50 miles the pads wore that much and the cylinder went out. Again all mechanics on google recommend both cylinders be replaced. Not Kerry, they replaced one. They wanted over $700.00 for a complete brake job. I decided to go somewhere else because I have absolutely no faith in the mechanics here. Brakes were needed and I had it done for $298.00. On top of all this the service reps are very unprofessional and rude, plus they aren't good at keeping a customer updated. Final thought avoid at all costs.... More
Brought car back three times for the same issue. Bought two new cars over $100,000. Bad service. Kerry tried to blame us for the problem.
