This story was totally not true. FIRST OFF the customer asked for a Text RESPONSE ONLY. If the customer really wanted to purchase this truck the sales team at Starkey Ford would have gone out of there way to accommodate the buyer. Lets get the facts right before saying something so BIZARRE.

My wife and I were traveling when our blower motor stopped working which is very bad while driving in the rain. Our first stop was in Wells Maine. We took our 2012 F250 to Starkey Ford to be repaired. More

This was a very unfortunate incident regarding the bankruptcy of Saab motor company long after the purchase of this car. The customer purchased a used Saab from us which was still under factory warranty from Saab at that time. Approximately 1 year later and 30,000 miles of driving later she experienced catastophic engine failure due to possible overheating. We, as a courtesy made arrangements to get the car to the local Saab dealer for warranty repair and as a result of Saab's bankruptcy, they would not cover repair under warranty, this took weeks to get an answer out of them. After doing extensive research regarding our options we then shipped the car to yet another Saab dealer further away that is affiliated with a GM dealer which turns out was required on certain model year Saab's if there is any chance of getting warranty coverage. After another few weeks and many calls from us, the repairing dealer and the customer, GM finally agreed to replace the engine for the customer free of charge under warranty which we thought was great news. During this whole time (nearly 2 months) I provided our customer with a free service loaner to drive even though we were not performing the repair, this was just as a courtesy, at $30 a day that most dealers charge I thought this $1800 gesture was fairly generous. We jumped through hoops to try to satisfy this customer and take care of getting this fixed under warranty but unfortunately due to Saab going under our hands were tied and the process took much longer than it should have, and for that we are sorry. The last thing our local family owned 57 year old dealership wants is an unhappy customer. Thank you for hearing us out. Starkey Ford
