This has been an usually difficult case with multiple fixes failing to resolve the problem permanently. We, like all Kia dealers are waiting for the next software update from Kia Motors. Our Service & Parts Director has kept you informed every step of the way and Kia is paying for a rental vehicle. We're sorry that we are unable to do more at this time.

Not another victim! responded

If any of what you just said in your response was true I might be understanding. Not only did the service department lie about what was wrong with my car they totally let me wait for over a week with no explanation. Mitch Jones, the service manager even told me how sorry he was for the total disrespect I was shown by the service department staff! I had my car towed at my own expense this past Friday after being told “There was nothing they could do but wait for KIA to send a software update on my engine!” I had had enough, and towed my car to Stokes KIA in Goose Creek! Talk about a night and day difference in customer service!!! Upon my arrival I was greeted by the warm and caring staff and the Service manager Roy diagnosed my car immediately with a TOTALLY DIFFERENT DIAGNOSIS than KIA County of Charleston! I was told that there was NO PENDING SOFTWARE UPDATE !!! and that I had been misinformed by KIA Country of Charleston!! Imagine my shock and dismay that I had been lied to for almost three weeks by the entire service department as well as totally ignored by the General Manager!! Long story short... my car was diagnosed with sensor issues in the WHEELS not the ENGINE.. as I had been told many, many times by Mitch Jones and his staff!! Stokes KIA repaired my car IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS at no charge!!!! I am thrilled to have my car back but now I am facing over $1,500.00 in car rental and towing fees!!! I will be trying to get total reimbursement from KIA Corporation.... BUT I am also perusing legal action as well! Do yourself a favor and NEVER purchase a automobile or service your car at KIA Country of Charleston!! If I had not towed my car to STOKES KIA OF GOOSE CREEK, I would STILL be living this nightmare! I am so thankful to Strom Altman and his superior Service Department!!!
