Great experience buying a Kia Soul! I decided to consider buying a Kia after a great experience with a 2008 Kia Rio and made arrangements to meet with a salesperson at Kia Country of Cha I decided to consider buying a Kia after a great experience with a 2008 Kia Rio and made arrangements to meet with a salesperson at Kia Country of Charleston. I could not ask for a better experience buying a vehicle than what I had after driving off the lot Saturday evening (Nov. 11, 2017), in a 2014 Kia Soul. Staff at Kia Country of Charleston convinced me to buy a vehicle from them. Salesman Dave Knight seemed interested in learning about my specific vehicle needs and personal situation. He answered my questions and even provided information for anticipated questions before I had a chance to ask. He worked with me in negotiations and made sure I left a satisfied customer. The entire car-buying experience yesterday exceeded my expectations, from someone opening the door for me as I entered to a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful finance guy (Jeremy Wilson) when I signed the paperwork. Our New Kia!! After a long stressful entire day of car shopping, our last stop was Kia Country of Charleston where my husband and I met Lance Williams. From his ver After a long stressful entire day of car shopping, our last stop was Kia Country of Charleston where my husband and I met Lance Williams. From his very greeting, he was nice and personable. I told him what I was looking for, a used SUV, nothing older than 2014 with low milage and around $16,000. After being told all day, my requests we're impossible, I didn't have much hope but Lance knew the inventory so well, that he directed us to a 2014 Kia Sportage LX, with 22,000 miles and marketed at $16,425. Literally everything I wanted was right in front of me. Lance was also so knowledgeable in the safety specs and details of the SUV. He answered questions I didn't even think to ask. During the test drive, Lance opened up about himself personally and professionally and held nothing back in fear of saying something that would result in a loss of a sale. I found comfort in doing business with someone who was willing to be "real" and not just another salesman. Needless to say, I fell in love with the SUV and we started the car buying process. Lance went slow with us and never pressured us. He understood that buying a vehicle was a huge deal to the normal person. Again he was able to answer all of our questions regarding credit and monthly costs in great detail. I would highly recommend Lance to friends and family and we will absolutely return to Lance when it's my husbands turn to get a new vehicle. Thank you Lance!! When we went in to meet with Jeremy regarding the finance portion, it was a different story. We felt flustered and rushed. We had to ask the same questions multiple times, not due to understanding the answers but because we were getting short answers and steered us away from the question verse clearly explaining himself. He talked more about indulging in extracurricular activities after work, then explaining the optional add-on packages. It was very distasteful. Instead of explaining what we were signing, he would just place the paper in front of us and tell us to sign. When I was reading the documents (since they weren't explained) he was rushing us and saying "you just have to sign right here". It made us feel like just dollars signs and not real people. On multiple documents I specifically asked what the paper was and he said "I don't really know what that's used for, you just have to sign it". (After reading, it was a DMV form for changing the registration of the new car into my name.) I wish there would have been someone else to work with, that way we could have continued to have a pleasant car buying experience. But instead we got Jeremy. He may benefit from a customer satisfaction and professionalism class. More

I walked into the dealership at 8:10 pm on a weeknight to look at a used car that I had found online. Lance Williams was so helpful. He never pressured me into buying a new car that I knew I could not afford. He went above and beyond to find the prefect used car that meant my budget! I walked out the next day the proud owner of a very affordable 2016 model car with very low mileage. Lance was attentive and really listened to what I had to say. Didn't mess around with the usual "I have to go and ask my boss" nonsense, knew exactly what could and couldn't be done deal wise, which made the whole process quite refreshing. More
