After a routine oil change, Kia of Duluth failed to properly secure the drain plug. Weeks later, while driving on a busy highway with my child, the plug fell out. White smoke poured from the car. We thought it was going to catch fire. We stood in the cold, far from the vehicle, while emergency services responded. Another Kia dealership confirmed the plug was missing and the engine had no oil. They stated it was highly likely a service error—not a maintenance or warranty issue. These plugs don’t just fall off unless they’re not torqued properly. Kia of Duluth caused over $10,000 in damages and showed zero accountability. No apology. No concern for our safety. Instead, they tried to blame me for not noticing oil leakage. I did not notice any leakage. After I said I’d file a complaint if needed, the store manager stopped responding. This was dangerous, expensive, and handled with complete disregard. Stay far away. I call and am told they’ll send replacements! Well , 2 months later still nothing and the car is back to burning 2 quarts every 500 miles. straight up liars to save a buck because of engine recall. if you buy from these losers , your warranty will be worthless or the dense clientele will mess something else up! Pure thieves trying to line their pockets! STAY FAR AWAY More
Would like to leave no stars, can't be done. I have been having bad experiences with this place since June of 2024. In for the 3rd time, at this point in time. It took over three weeks to get my car in when literally my cars turbo or something went out. Which led to more issues I'm sure because I didn't know what was wrong. I've had my Carnival for 6 months and they recommended an oil change even though I only have 3900 miles on it. Took it in and was told it would be 45 to 60 minutes. Service rep went through waiting room around 45 minutes in and said they were wrapping it up. After another 30 minutes, I was tired of waiting and went to service desk. It was done, but they didn't have the paperwork. Finally found it and thankfully, the service rep went out to bring my vehicle out for me. It was blocked in so spent another 10 minutes waiting to have it out. Got in and the tire pressure was showing as 42 - 44 psi on all 4 tires. At my next stop, I check the tag on door frame and it clearly states 37 psi cold weather temp. I called back to the service department on my way out of town (live 30 miles away) and asked them why the tire pressure was so high. Response was "they must have over inflated them" (no kidding) Told me I could bring it back and they would make it right! Told them I could do that myself and not have to wait forever to get it done! Not impressed at all!!! More

It’s about a $200 part and around $300 to have installed and it’s a part covered by my warranty! I’ve only heard from the service department twice, both times to tell me they’re still going round and round with warranty. They were supposed to call me 2 weeks ago regarding a loaner car, never received a call back. I would have to say do not believe the hype about the “great Kia warranty.” More

Bottom line is they’re the only dealership within hundreds of miles and if something goes majorly haywire with your car, you will pay for it dearly and find out why. Stick Hyundai instead they’re just as affordable and the same company. And Kolar up the hill blows this place out of the water. More
Brought in our Kia Sorento for an oil change. They came back and showed us a completely filthy engine air filter. They said we needed a new one for sure. We informed them we recently changed it. They looked in their records and confirmed it had been done 9 months ago and only 6,000 miles had been put on since then. There is no possible way they changed it out but they sure as heck charged us for it. DO NOT GO HERE. SCAM More

More
