POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I am very displeased with KIA. I was told last year that when I had my car a year, i could come back and get it refinanced and lower payments. Went back June 4th for oil change and talked to Kim about refinancing. She told us they had a new program that we could try.get a new car with your trade in and they could get you in lower payments. Absolutely not true. We were told pick any new car and we can trade with you and guarantee lower payments. Found a Kia Stinger i loved-oh we can get you in that with no problem. Never did even look at my car-2016 Kia Optima-7429 miles.never would tell what they would allow on my car-came to us and said if you have 1,000 we can get your payments at 901-HELLO MY PAYMENTS NOW ARE 499-THATS TWICE THE PAYMENT.-Never did talk to us about actual refinancing-then Kim asked were we trading in or buying straight out-something is wrong here when they were the ones that said they had a new program of refinancing and getting you in a newer car.Didn't happen-completely false-very unhappy. Unethical KIA of Anderson is the most unethical, untruthful auto dealer I have ever dealt with in many car and truck dealerships over a 40-year period. Our Sale KIA of Anderson is the most unethical, untruthful auto dealer I have ever dealt with in many car and truck dealerships over a 40-year period. Our Saleswoman (who was even a friend of mine) set up our lease for a 2017 KIA . We told her that the sole reason for purchasing the vehicle was to pull our boat that weighed 5,000 lbs. She stated that it would pull it fine. The GM, even confirmed this. We even asked if we should upgrade to the AWD for another $5,000. She said we did not need to do that. We believed them because our 2005 Sorento pulled our boat fine as we had to have the boat serviced in Greenville, about 30 miles via Interstate 85, and went to many other lakes several times. We also asked if there would be any problems breaking the lease in the event that towing the boat became an issue and we were assured by both our Saleswoman and the GM that we could without problems. We had no need to pull the boat for the first six months because the lake level was sufficient to allow us to keep it on our dock behind the house. When we had to pull it out of the water, the Sorento’s front tires barely touched the pavement. We finally got it out but the tires were smoking. We contacted our Saleswoman and we were given the run around for six weeks. We were told that we had to speak with the GM, but he was never available. We even contacted corporate and all they did was refer us back to the dealer. Finally, my husband physically went to KIA. He was told that the GM, no longer worked there and the new GM was starting the next day. Two days later, we met with him. He said our best bet was to swap it out for a Silverado from their Chevy dealer. He also said that our Saleswoman denied telling us that it would pull 5,000 lbs. We drove for 45 minutes to the other dealer and picked out a Silverado. When they worked out the numbers, not only did they want us to purchase the Silverado, but would not give us back our down, any of the payments we made, and added another $6,000 for us to get out of the lease. Very unethical due to their previous promises, all of which they now denied, and, the Sorento only had 4,000 miles on it. The next day we went to Piedmont Dodge and purchased a 2017 RAM. They took care of all the paperwork and payments to get us out of the lease. They were wonderful. I would advise all who read this to never purchase or lease anything from KIA. They have horrible customer service and clearly are unethical and their only goal is to sell cars, no matter what they offer or promise. More
