Gracious, Credible & Competent Salesperson I negotiated a price for a 2020 Kia Soul over the phone with Mr. Tommy V. We agreed to an amount and I further mentioned that I did not have any tran I negotiated a price for a 2020 Kia Soul over the phone with Mr. Tommy V. We agreed to an amount and I further mentioned that I did not have any transportation. He got back to me in 2 minutes and said that he would have a Uber ride at my house in 2 minutes. Love those 2 minute windows! Uber showed up precisely on time & we headed to Kia of Irvine; about 90 miles from my house. Tommy, was there to meet me. I found him to be gracious, competent, and credible. He had a vehicle ready for me to drive. In fact, we drove 3 or 4 different Kias. Tommy, was patient and never "pushed." I found the right one and bought it on the spot. It's a beautiful sparkling silver. In every dimension of the sales process Tommy, was respectful and ready to resolve any issue, of which there none. The salesperson of choice, for sure! Later, I was escorted to Paul. Oddly, there were no introductions so I wasn't sure of the purpose of this meeting. It proved to be the tiring-extended warranty lecture. Paul, went through it in such an impersonal fashion that I got the feeling that even he wasn't interested in his product. It was something akin to a priest laboring over his last homily and couldn't wait to get into his retirement home in a gated community. Yep, answer was NO! Kia, most probably has the best warranty in the industry. Why anyone would spend an additional $2000 dollars or more for such coverage is difficult to conceive? Wrapped up all details and cruised home. Relaxing music and California gridlock; for me, more enjoyable than the local theme park. More
