I took my car to Kia of Lincolnwood because it occasionally would not start. They did nothing for about a week (April 24-29), not even return my numerous calls. When they did, they claimed that m occasionally would not start. They did nothing for about a week (April 24-29), not even return my numerous calls. When they did, they claimed that my injector was bad and that it would cost me over $3k. I insisted that the injector wasn't bad and on the next visit they apologized that the tech didn't plug back the plugs appropriately. I took my car away even when the other sales lady tried playing the age old good cop but with clear intention to rip me off. The next shop diagnosed my Soul to need a new oxygen sensor (under $100). This is my 3rd poor experience with this dealership and certainly my last More
If I could give Kia of Lincolnwood negative stars, I would but, sadly, that isn’t an option. This was the worst customer service I’ve experienced by far. They had my car for 2+ months and gave me every would but, sadly, that isn’t an option. This was the worst customer service I’ve experienced by far. They had my car for 2+ months and gave me every excuse in the book. I worked with Ryan who lied and avoided me throughout the entire experience. He would not return my calls, his voicemail was always full and he was never at his desk to take calls from the dealership. He also didnt return messages. He may have called me twice throughout the 2+ months. At one point, I had to go into the dealership multiple times to get them to do anything with my car. Ryan told me there was no one available to fix my car bc the mechanic quit, his supervisor assured me there were “many people who could fix the car.” During the 2+ months my car was left outside with a broken window. They never had it detailed or cleaned up, weather causing damage to my interior. At the end of the service- they wanted me to pay the full bill. When talking to Ryan’s supervisor, he explained that “some people wait up to a year for parts” and “we can take $200” off my $4000 bill. When leaving, Ryan and his supervisor were standing in the garage laughing and joking around- they didn’t say a word to me. Get it together Ryan, you’re a sloppy joke. More

After week one, Rya Due to an engine problem, Once my car was towed, Ryan stated they’ll start the paperwork, Figure things out and keep me updated. After week one, Ryan called stating the paper work would be starting and they’ll be sending everything over to Kia corporate, which was false. I contacted corporate letting them know, everything they were telling me and about how Ryan stated he sent the paper work over another lie. Ryan wouldn’t answer phone calls or I’ll call service to speak to a manager, no mangers would be available. I got my parents involved and corporate were our best advocate. March 19th, 2025 is the date Kia of Lincolnwood actually started the paper work for my vehicle. If it wasn’t for me and my parents constantly calling corporate and reporting the status of my vehicle it’ll still been sitting. It got to the point where corporate even ask was my vehicle still at Kia of Lincolnwood. March 28th, 2025 my part for my vehicle was finally order. My vehicle was finish April 18th, 2025. I don’t recommend, the communication is terrible. Contact corporate keep them informed at all times. Corporate is your best advocate for them. More
This has been a mixed experience. My '20 Soul was having issues in March of 2024. The car felt as though it were losing power in turns at intersections. It would actually stall (auto My '20 Soul was having issues in March of 2024. The car felt as though it were losing power in turns at intersections. It would actually stall (auto trans) in the middle of the intersection. There was never a Check Engine Light. So, I brought it to this dealership to see why that was happening. Frances was the person helping at that time. He kept the car while I waited. He texted at least 3 times that they'd taken the car for different trips, but were unable to replicate the issue. After a couple of hours and a few alleged attempts to recreate the issue, I was told that it wasn't something they could detect or address. I was simply told that if it happened again, to bring it back. I took the car home and didn't really have any issues until November, later in the year. At this point, the car was experiencing severe issues, dying out, a ticking noise, and reduced power. I had it towed in on January 4. It took weeks for them to tell me that the car would need a new engine. It took even longer for them to decide whether it would be fixed under warranty. During this time, I was renting a car, hoping they would eventually decide to approve the warranty work. Ryan told me that the decision was not up to their department, that Tech Line (corporate) would have to approve it for warranty. Ryan was not always forthcoming with info. He didn't reply to calls, texts, or emails in a timely manner. It would be days or a week before he would reply. He said that Tech Line wanted proof of maintenance for five oil changes. I'd only owned the car long enough, and driven the car 18k miles. So I could only account for three oil changes with receipts. They wanted more receipts beyond my ownership of the car. I was fortunate that CarMax had one more oil change work order before I owned the car. Those four receipts proved that the maintenance had been done within the regular intervals. It still took weeks for him to finally acquiesce and provide a loaner vehicle. By the 6th week, I had a loaner and assurances that the warranty would be honored. That was February 11. From the day I left with the loaner, all I asked for was an update on the time frame so that I could make plans. He would go days and weeks without responding. I know he's busy handling other accounts and repairs. So I only reached out once a week, if even that. It wasn't until the last week of March that he'd told me the engine had been received and that work would begin. He would not reply with a time frame. In the next week, he called back with a different attitude, saying that my Soul has been completed and asking for the loaner to be returned as another customer needed it. Within 24 hours, he texted at least 3 or 4 times asking about the car, when I could be there. I answered every time, despite my family suggesting that I ghost him the way he did me. I put almost 4k miles on that loaner in that time. I appreciate the ride. I am grateful not to have the expense of a rental for the four full months that they had my car. But if this is any indication of how they operate, I would never buy a car from this dealership. I will never go back to this dealer for any kind of service. I had to seek the advice of a lawyer when they weren't replying, when they'd asked for more oil changes than I'd actually needed to. I actually realized that when I took the car for the initial issue back in March '24, I can't tell if they actually did anything because the work order receipt noted the mileage in was the same as the mileage out. Did they actually take the car out to try to replicate the issue? Maybe. Maybe they just don't keep accurate records of mileage coming in and out. Either way, I have enough to go on that I can never trust my car to this dealership. If you're still reading this, I hope you learn from my terrible experience. More

Took 2 days to diagnose issue, never responded to communications, forgot to even diagnose 1 of the problems I brought it in for. Then wanted to charge me $5600 to replace sunroof even though it’s just off the track. Total scam. Have 2 Kia’s but will never bring back to this service shop with their snotty, rude 24 year old service techs. The only honest one there told me the only Kia he would buy is a Telluride. Wouldn’t bring my kid’s bike here for air in the tires…. More
Friendly people; very competent service department. I don't know much about car prices but we got an okay deal on a new car in 209. Just had the most wonderful experience with the service department I don't know much about car prices but we got an okay deal on a new car in 209. Just had the most wonderful experience with the service department. The man who took my order dealt with a kind of irregular issue with the headlight. He saw to it that everything went right, even problems I helped cause, and gave a good price on the work. More
