I’m sitting in the waiting area she comes over with more of an attitude and states they not going to be able to rotate my tires. I asked why and she states my wheel locks key not in the truck. I asked how was it done last time and she stated she don’t know and they not able to do it. This was at 10am and it’s now 1:30pm. I asked what’s the holdup and they states something wrong with my paperwork from the technician. There is no way I should be here for 3 hours and my truck been on the ready line for 45 minutes now. They refused to give any pricing information over the phone or text. Drove over an hour to find out they have a $3495 addendum added to all truck online pricing once you get there. I’m also told by other phone or text. Drove over an hour to find out they have a $3495 addendum added to all truck online pricing once you get there. I’m also told by others that if I had agreed and made it to financing, they have numerous other required add-ons. Very deceptive! More
The best thing I can say about Killeen Ford is that they have discovered time travel - they are committed to selling cars in the same way the business was done when Bill Clinton was President. I did not have discovered time travel - they are committed to selling cars in the same way the business was done when Bill Clinton was President. I did not end up buying a car that was exactly what I was looking for based on these behaviors. First thing - the price advertised on their website is NOT the price. They add window tint, some windshield coating and an “installed GPS”. The unit I was interested in purchasing has both onboard navigation and an onboard 4G modem, plus uses CarPlay or Android Auto. So, just what “installed GPS” is it they’re speaking of. More important than that, if you don’t use their financing, they increase the price of the car - in my case, I was quoted a $3000 markup for coming in with my pre-approved credit union loan. Second thing - their entire sales model is “you’ll do what we want, even if we don’t tell you what that is up front”. There is no negotiating. Any expectation you may have about what the best price is for you is irrelevant and wrong. Fortunately, there are hundreds of dealerships all across the country that are actually operating in the year 2026, and I will find the vehicle I want from one of them - without the “addendum” markup and jump in blood pressure. Check out their Yelp and BBB reviews from other people - the consistent comments are that communication is very poor, and service jobs take much longer than promised, and are not always fully performed. This is a cultural problem with this store; “May the Buyer beware”. And, if you do move forward with trying to buy a vehicle from this store, be sure to keep the complaint forms for the Consumer Financial Protection bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau of Killeen and the Texas Attorney General and Texas DMV handy. Received emails from two from dealership about my bad experience and I emailed the issues and how they could be resolved and was ignored. The last straw was sitting at the dealership for three hours waiting for someone to find the second key. Should have read other reviews and I wouldn’t have made the trip. Also filled out review from Ford and got no response. Killeen Ford is in business to prey on the soldiers from Ft. Cavazos and Ford leaves them alone. More
This was easily one of the worst car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. The financing process felt deliberately confusing. The numbers kept changing, and every time I asked for a clear breakdown, I got vag I’ve ever had. The financing process felt deliberately confusing. The numbers kept changing, and every time I asked for a clear breakdown, I got vague explanations instead of straightforward answers. Some fees were never clearly explained upfront. When I questioned it, I was met with attitude instead of transparency. The staff’s behavior made it worse. Friendly at first — until I pushed back. Then the tone shifted completely. Suddenly, I was treated like I was being difficult just for wanting clarity on what I was paying for. I was pressured into accepting terms that weren’t properly explained. Buying a car should feel straightforward and professional, not stressful and uncomfortable. If you care about clear financing, honest pricing, and respectful treatment, I’d strongly recommend shopping elsewhere. More

I had to walk into the sales managers office and stop being nice to get my keys back. It is unbelievable this dealership allows this behavior and these people forced me t be “that guy” just to get my keys so I could leave. More

Whatever you do, stay far away from Automax Killeen (Hyundai, Ford, VW, etc.). Like a fool, I’ve dealt with these people on three separate purchases and multiple service visits — and every time has bee (Hyundai, Ford, VW, etc.). Like a fool, I’ve dealt with these people on three separate purchases and multiple service visits — and every time has been a nightmare. They are the definition of con artists and completely unprofessional. The latest debacle: I dropped off my car six days ago for a check engine light. They forgot about it, then told me it just needed an oil change. When I refused to pay a $300 diagnostic fee, they suddenly wanted $410 for an oil change. After pushing back, they “settled” for $110 — and sent me off with the car still in limp mode, forcing me to drive home at 40 mph after nearly a week in their shop. To top it off, when I bought my Sonata from them, they failed to register my warranty, which led to a denied warranty claim later on. Please, save yourself the headache and stay far away from Automax Killeen. More
