This has probably been the most enjoyable car buying experience EVER! Shawn Harvey not only did his job, but went above and beyond. My wife's been coming here for maintenance on a more than regular basis for close to maybe two years now. The car's been burning oil more than normal that long. My wife called the dealership's maintenance an regular basis for close to maybe two years now. The car's been burning oil more than normal that long. My wife called the dealership's maintenance and asked what she should do. Guy literally told her over the phone that she should drive it out and if the car breaks down they'll tow it. I can only assume this is to void your warranty because it would be negligence on your part. I called the dealership and brought it up, they got us an appointment. They had her do some test THREE TO FOUR TIMES where they put oil in the engine and marked the dipstick and told her she couldn't remove it to check the oil while the test was in process. Each test took 1k miles. I made sure to get this in writing. It was then determined that the catalytic converter was burning. At one point they had to change spark plugs. A quick search online of the 2015 kia soul exclaim shows literally that burning oil the way it has been, a burning catalytic converter, changing of spark plugs are all symptoms of these things engines going bad. So KIA played my wife until the warranty went out, no surprise, and I see online that there's a class action lawsuit against KIA for these things. I will actively start look into seeing if we can join it and discourage everyone I talk to from coming here. More
