Scheduled Works Oil Change, Tires and Multi Point Inspection In my last visit I was preparing for a trip from here to Las Vegas and had several things done for service in preparation, as the conditions there are In my last visit I was preparing for a trip from here to Las Vegas and had several things done for service in preparation, as the conditions there are much hotter and on some highways the inclines are harsh, as well as variable elevations. All things to consider for such a trip, especially with a car with over 100k miles, like mine. The trip was flawless. Not a single car issue. The temperature of the car was at its normal level the whole time, even at full highway speed at 115 degrees outside. AC was blowing full max cold as well. As I mentioned, my car is higher miles, and the way it is serviced is keeping it running as if I bought it yesterday. Today was the normal oil, tire rotation, multi point inspection, etc. I added a request to check and adjust the hood as it was wiggling in the wind at high speed. The normal service was perfect as usual and I was advised that my air filter element is dirty. I was made aware and given a choice with no doom and gloom speech as some establishments will do. My next service I will have this replaced. As to the hood, B. Bane was my tech and adjusted the stops, and on my drive home my hood was stable and not a distraction. Incidentally, the car did not suddenly start doing this. It has been that way forever it seems, but was just a mild annoyance I remembered to ask about being addressed. It literally cost $3.95 for that adjustment. Less than some coffee beverages at Starbucks. Now it is fixed and gives me that extra 10% happier than I already am with my car and the services done for it. More
