Try Them, but Be Wary Purchasing my new Kia from Kirby went quite well. The salesperson was very helpful, friendly, non-aggressive, and knowledgeable. However, during the signing of the sales contract I definitely felt pressured to purchase an extended warranty adding $1800 to the cost of the car, which has proven a complete waste of money after 7 years of ownership. The service department has been basically alright, but I have developed a distrust of their recommendations. I was told 4 years ago that my battery "doesn't hold a charge". That was a direct lie. I still have that same battery that came with the car when it was new. It's been perfect since day one. On another service visit I was told that my "tires are bald". That was another lie. They were perfectly fine for another two years of driving before I replaced them (from another source). When I received a recall notice about "high heat around the catalytic converter", I took it in for the recall service. Following that service the car immediately dropped at least 3 to 4 miles per gallon. I went back twice to the service department for an explanation. I was told it would eventually return to it's former gasoline mileage. That has most certainly never happened. So, I wouldn't go so far as to say to never take your car to their service department. But, be wary! More

Disappointed Buyer I was looking to buy a car from this dealership. Had been speaking to Jake and when my friend and I showed up we were helped by another sales person. Tried to make a deal with them the online price was about $16,000 the vehicle had some body work done to the back passenger door. We tried to see if they would lower the price and instead they came back with a $19,000 price. We asked for an explanation so the sales person had his manager come over. When we asked him what the $3,000 in accessories on a used car were; he said that it was for a sealant (car wax) that they put on the vehicle. My friend laugh and said lets go you are not going to pay for that. The manager said ok that's fine and did not do anything to get our business. Went and bought my car at another dealership. More

Salesroom was closed due to construction, so I waited in the parking lot sun for retrieval of jumper system. Then I discovered the auto wasn't awd, didn't want to drive it after all, so requested the salesman's card. Again, I waited and waited out in the parking lot in the sun, never invited in to an air conditioned trailer. I returned to my car in the customer parking area, and it was powdered with drywall. I'd finally gone to a car wash for all of the ash from the Whittier fire, and now it was covered in a fine powder. The salesman rinsed it off for me, kudos for him, but it was not shiny, car washed clean with clear windows. I suggested Kia steer customers away from construction site parking, but he argued that there was no other option. I would like to test drive another Kia model, but cannot return to that dealership! More

Kirby also has the best customer satisfaction on service and body. We have a fixed budget and we came in way under. In three years we get another new car. More
BEST SERVICE DEPARTMENT EVER Bought a Kia Optima two years ago. Love it. Robert was great. The purchase was easy. But the greatness of Kirby Kia doesn't stop after you leave with your purchase. Got a low tire pressure warning. Decided to go to the dealership because honestly I have no idea what the proper pressure should be, or how much air to add. I got there after 5:30, they close at 5:30. David and Diane were closing the door. I told them my problem and they took my car to a bay, checked the pressure in all four tires, not just the one with the pressure warning. Added air to two of my tires AND checked to make sure there were no leaks. They could have easily said they were closed and sent me on my unmerry way, as I am sure most dealerships would do. Instead they went above and beyond. Kirby Kia has the best customer service. They put their customers first and that is really special. More
