Blaine, Our service department strives to provide a best-in-class experience. To achieve this, proper communication is key, and, in your case, we failed to properly communicate why the cost to repair a brake light bulb was $45. Klick Lewis uses the Alldata Repair Labor Time Guide to determine repair time. Alldata is an industry standard Labor Time Guide. All our technicians are paid based on these published labor times. For a 2016 Silverado 1500 the repair time for one rear brake light is .4 hours. You were only charged .2 hours labor because repairs like bulbs are generally discounted.
