Review Title: Completely Ghosted: Withholding $900+ GAP Refund for 6 WeeksI am writing this review because Knight Claremont Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM has completely cut off all communication while withholdin Refund for 6 WeeksI am writing this review because Knight Claremont Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM has completely cut off all communication while withholding a GAP insurance refund of over $900 that legally belongs to me.The auto loan on my vehicle has been fully paid off. By law, my GAP refund is supposed to be processed and sent back to the finance company (or to me directly, since the account balance is zero). It has now been almost 6 weeks, and the dealership is refusing to provide an update or process the paperwork.Here is the exact timeline of their complete lack of customer service:The Phone Blackout: No one answers the phone at this dealership. Regardless of which extension or department you choose, it goes straight to a voicemail box that is clearly ignored. No one returns calls.Ignored Live Chats: I attempted to resolve this quietly and reached out via their website's live chat feature three days in a row. I was completely ignored with zero response back.Out-of-Pocket Costs: Because of their complete negligence and failure to communicate, I had to spend an additional $28 out of my own pocket just to correct my mailing address errors with the corporate entities involved.Withholding a consumer's refunded premiums after a loan payoff is an incredibly shady business practice. I am demanding that the Finance Manager or General Manager contact me immediately to provide the tracking information or proof of payment for my $900+ refund.If this is not resolved immediately, my next steps will be filing formal complaints with the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Investigative Division and the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
