Recently I went into Norm Wagner Toyota to purchase a vehicle. While the sales person was very knowlegable and professional, Mr Wagner refused to give me a price on a new Toyota, even after I had his sales team examine my trade. I phoned an appointment prior and had driven over a hundred miles to price out this new car, only to be turned away because I had mentioned to the salesman that I was going to "shop this car purchase" Who ever had the best price would get the sale. Instead I got beligerence. I was told that Mr. Wagner would not give me a price and I was to come back later after I got my lowest price elsewhere. He was so cowardly that Mr Wagner would not even come talk to me. He sent his lakey out to do his bidding. This dealership personafies the term "slimy car dealer". After speaking with a friend of mine. I learned that my experiences were not different from theirs. I then went to his local competitor (Acton Toyota) and was treated with respect. I purchased the vehicle from Acton Toyota and have been pleased with all aspects of their way of doing business. If you want to be treated poorly, Then Norm Wagner is your man. I look forward to seeing the "going out of business" signs on that building, but I supect that enough people will be bullied into a purchase with his low-life sales tactics. More
I too was accosted before I could get in the door by a salesman who could barely speak English. He used profanity to describe the weather despite the fact that I had a child with me. I asked to test dri salesman who could barely speak English. He used profanity to describe the weather despite the fact that I had a child with me. I asked to test drive a Yaris and said I wanted a certain type (without lots of options). He denied that such a type exists, though just that day on the internet I had read about it. I figured I'll test drive it here but buy it elsewhere. After the test drive he asked about it and I said twice I want to think about it. He asked what concerns I had and I mentioned their poor rating with Better Business Bureau and asked if they were going to clean up their act. He claimed to never have heard of the BBB! Then he said, "Well come inside and I'll get you a business card and a brochure." Stupid me, in I went and after a wait he came out with no brochure, no business card, but with his manager, who also could barely speak English. The manager tried to browbeat me and said I shouldn't have wasted their time coming into the dealership if I were not prepared to buy a car that same day. I left after retrieving my personal information sheet from the head manager who sits in a tower looking down on all the salespeople - very boiler room type atmosphere. While it is unlikely given their reputation that I would have purchased a car from this dealership, they would have gotten the service business since they are the only dealership near where I live, but they lost that too. I would never set foot on their slimy premises again nor will I buy a Toyota as long as I live in this geographical area. More
I ordered a brand-new 2007 Camry in April 2006; I had to wait until July for the exact model that I wanted (4-cyl XL w/leather, etc). I think they have cleaned up their act, as I have no complaints. All th wait until July for the exact model that I wanted (4-cyl XL w/leather, etc). I think they have cleaned up their act, as I have no complaints. All the employees were friendly, I was greeted promptly, my salesman was courteous and kept me informed during my wait (he also called me a couple of times to offer other models/colors that became available, which I declined). Since it was a brand-new model and hard to get, there was not a lot of room on price, however. When I went into check the new car it was pouring rain and a salesman ran out with an umbrella. They pulled my new car into the showroom so I could check it over. The new service center is excellent - you drive inside to drop off/pick up. I have been in twice since July - once for the 5K check which took barely 60 minutes, and again recently to put on snow tires, which was very fast - I barely had time to drink my free coffee. The car has been without a single defect for 7,500 miles. More
I felt like I needed to shower as soon as I left this place. It had a very slimy feeling to it. Specifically, the problems I had were: 1) Sales staff uninformed. They did not realize that the Matr place. It had a very slimy feeling to it. Specifically, the problems I had were: 1) Sales staff uninformed. They did not realize that the Matrix had discontinued the support for 4 wheel drive in the 2007 model. 2) Sales staff tried to redirect me to cars that were on the lot, rather than what I wanted. I was a accosted by a used car salesman before I could even get in the door. 3) Sales staff was misleading. I said I wanted a car that would get up the steep driveway. They said traction control would help with that. Then, the sales guy says that the traction control will not help, once he finds out he can't get a Camry SE with traction control. So which is it, buddy? 4) I asked for a Camry SE with VSC and TRAC. They said that you can't get one that way. Yet other dealers say they can? Why would that be? I felt they wanted to sell me something, anything, but not necessarily get the right car for me. 5) He gave me a terrible price ($1,000 more than another dealer). I asked him it if was the best that he could do. He said, yes, he can't go lower. I said, "So if I get a lower quote, I shouldn't even come back, because this is your lowest price". Salesman said, "No, come back, we'll give you a better price". So which is it? More
I have terrible credit. They treated me with the utmost respect. They explained everything to me. They made sure to find me a car that was within my budget. I didn't necessarly get the car I wanted. I respect. They explained everything to me. They made sure to find me a car that was within my budget. I didn't necessarly get the car I wanted. I got a 2004 ford taurus. I wanted a toyota but it just wasn't in my budget for now. They told me how to fix my credit and get the car I wanted in 6 months. They were the best dealer I have ever dealt with. Ok update. They lied to me. They told me I was approved and then just keep playing around. I tried to call Arian in finance and he would never call me back. The only person I could get to call me back was Juilianna the sales person. I have waited two weeks for a car that I thought was already mine. They have been just playing with my mind for two weeks. Also , when they couldn't get me approved through toyota finance, they submitted my credit to 30 different banks ruining my credit for a very long time. Please disregard my earlier review and don't walk, run away from this dealership. More
I was having trouble with the front-end on my '96 Taurus. When I took it to Norm Wagner, they told me that I would need to have shocks, struts, swaybars, front-end alignment and wheel balance. The bill cam When I took it to Norm Wagner, they told me that I would need to have shocks, struts, swaybars, front-end alignment and wheel balance. The bill came to just over $800. It took them 3 days to get it back to me. I hadn't gotten 1/2 mile down the road, when I noticed the exact same problem. I immediately took it back and told them about it. It took them another 3 days of 'working on it' and they called me and told me I could pick it up. I barely got it off the lot and had the exact same original problem. I then took it to my local Midas shop and had them look at it. I explained to the owner what had happened and he told me that he used to work for Norm Wagner (as a mechanic) and had the same kind of experience with some warranty work on a car that he bought from them. After thoroughly inspecting my car, Midas determined that NOTHING had been done to my car and had probably not even been put on the lift. The mechanic showed me the ORIGINAL Ford OEM swaybars that were still on the car. I'd love to sue Norm Wagner and even file criminal charges, but going after a car dealership is like attacking a Panzer tank with a butcher knife. Bottom line: DON'T BUY FROM THESE THIEVES OR HAVE ANY "WORK" DONE! More
I contacted this dealership via the Internet and found the experience to be very easy to deal with. When I arrived to test drive the car everything was exactly like I was told it would be. No changed numb the experience to be very easy to deal with. When I arrived to test drive the car everything was exactly like I was told it would be. No changed numbers and the right car. I believe Mr. Hamel is the online manager. He was very knowledgeable about the car and met my requirements perfectly. I do strongly recommend him to friends.
When I went in to pick up my new Highlander I was introduced to Mr. Tom Burns who gave me a very in depth delivery of the car. He answered all of my questions and made sure I was comfortable before driving home.
I will buy my next Toyota from Rick. More
This was my third car purchased recently from this dealer. Worst buying experience of my life. I was shopping for a 4-wheel Drive SUV with Anti-Lock Brakes. I was presented a CARFAX report that imp dealer. Worst buying experience of my life. I was shopping for a 4-wheel Drive SUV with Anti-Lock Brakes. I was presented a CARFAX report that implied the vehicle I purchased had ABS. I also asked the sales manager, twice, if the car did indeed have ABS. I was told "Yes". Because it was Toyota Certified used, the purchase and sales agreement was not detailed as far as options. After nearly a month (the car still needs service for a "check engine" light), I called Toyota Corporate and found out the car does not have ABS. I filed a complaint with Toyota, and have been trying to resolve the issue without legal action, but was told by the dealership that because it's not in the purchase agreement, what I was told was not binding. I have filed further complaints with Toyota regarding this. Also, have been waiting over three weeks to have other service issue resolved. Part came in last week, but I was never called (Toyota corporate followed up on this for me, and found out the part came in over a week ago).

I can not recommend more strongly-- STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! They have been dishonest in other, smaller issues as well (touch-up paint services not rendered, brake light not working on "Certified" vehicle, etc.) I am currently pursuing other avenues to get resolution. I will be editing this later, should the dealership work with me on this issue. BUYER BEWARE-- Toyota is a great vehicle, but Norm Wagner Toyota is not trustworthy (from my experiences). Shop another Toyota dealer instead. More
Very knowledgable, kind and patient salesman. He was straight up with me and I appreciated it. No back and forth baloney. I gave him the numbers I was looking for and he did his best to meet my needs. straight up with me and I appreciated it. No back and forth baloney. I gave him the numbers I was looking for and he did his best to meet my needs. he made me feel comfortable and didn't have any shady undertones. I have been looking for a long time for the right car and have been to a number of different dealerships but Rick was different. He didn't have that sleezy salesman pitch. He showed me the cars I was interested in, answered my questions and let the cars sell themself. He was confident in the product, knew the product which gave me a sense of confidence in him. I bought two cars at the same time which I am sure helped but again... I would send family back to this dealer for future purchases. I would ask for Rick though... I can't speak for any other sales person. And NO I am not related to him just a consumer who believes good work should be recognized. I hope this helps someone out there... Best of luck in your car buying process. More
