It was a bad experience from the start - I had trouble scheduling an apt (it was supposedly a "difficult recall fix" and so they wouldn't schedule the recall unless the service dept. said it was ok) - but the service dept wouldn't answer the phone or call me back or respond to my request on www.fordowner.com. After calling once a week for three weeks (no joke - three weeks of calling - I finally asked if everyone has trouble scheduling recalls to be fixed and was literally told "you can take your car to any dealer to get a recall addressed"). I finally got the scheduler to get the service dept on the phone (this is the closest dealer to my house) and got an apt a few days later. Everyone But One Employee Goes Home Around 5/530 - And She Can't Help Folks AND Answer the Phone It's inconvenient to have to take your car in for a recall service, so I try to make it worth my while by paying $400 to do the 30k mile service (which is not cheap for a couple of filters and a tire rotation - but fine, kill two birds with one stone). I call around 5.15 to the service dept to try to schedule a ride from metro to the dealer - on hold for 10 minutes; hang up. Call again around 5.45 as I am leaving work - on hold 10 minutes hang up. Call on metro en route to dealer - ask front desk if she can get someone at service dept to answer phone - "sorry - but she's helping another customer" - "isn't there someone else you can get" - "no") - on hold for - no joke - 18 minutes. I actually am still on hold after my metro train arrives, get a cab to service dept and am walking in the door - "have you still been on hold - you need a ride right?" "i'm actually already here - i was on hold this last time for 18 minutes" "so sorry". turns out all of service dept leaves between 5 and 5.30 - WHAT? one person there - handling all customers and answering the phone? How is that good service? Here Are Your Keys - Go Walk Around The Dealer Lot And Find Your Own Car But it gets worse - I pay, and the only service dept employee says "I don't know where your car is - and the person that normally brings the cars around isn't here, so you are going to have to walk around and find your car"; "are you kidding me"; "I'm not. I'm sorry." I don't want people to tell me they're sorry, I want someone to help me - answer the phone, know where the F my car is - and get it for me if I am paying you $400 to swap out some filters and rotate the tires! The positive reviews of the service dept appear to have been written by people that have never been here. There is no way the multiple layers of bad service I encountered happened to be my bad luck. It was a mess from start and finish. There is no need to pay good money for this service. Get your regular service somewhere else and save money and get better service. More

Pleasantly surprised Koons Falls Church had a car on their website with a good enough price to make us come down from Baltimore to get it. A couple weeks later, I noticed Koons Falls Church had a car on their website with a good enough price to make us come down from Baltimore to get it. A couple weeks later, I noticed some hand-written numbers bleached into the tint on the windshield. I contacted Soufiane, our salesperson, about it. I expected to have to put up a fight about it, but with just pictures as evidence (to save me the drive), he worked it out to have their windshield guy (who was also awesome) come to me to have it replaced. So impressed all around! More

Prior this, I'd had bad experien I purchased my 2011 Ford Mustang at Koons Ford, Falls Church Virginia & decided to try out their service department. Prior this, I'd had bad experiences at dealerships when it came to service. Well, was I shocked to see a friendly, courteous, helpful, and professional Service Advisor to coordinate my service at Koons Ford! This has been the case for a couple of years. No complaints. My Service Advisor was re-assigned to another location so Mr. Randy Gabler was my Service Advisor this past week. Same outstanding attitude, helpfulness, professionalism. I cannot say enough for Koons Ford Service Department. Everyone is cheerful, helpful, and does their best to make it a positive experience. The waiting room is well-lit, spotless, with a TV that works (!!) and also a computer for Internet use. There is also coffee and the restrooms and ultra clean and well-lit. Try it out! More

Moments later the dealership called - to let me know that car was still in stock and a salesman would be calling me shortly to answer my questions. A few minutes later Osman Aberra called me - answered my questions and when I wanted a breakdown - said give me a little time and I will e-mail that t o you. And sure enough he did - a spreadsheet that gave me the information that really helped and I made an appointment to see the car. . And once I got there - he met me at the door, was ready to show me the car I inquired about. No hassle finding the car or the keys. He explained all the bells whistles and had me try them myself. He synced my phone up. Amazing! In comparison to the other dealer I saw and the other e-mail inquiries I made - they genuinely seemed interested in helping me. The whole team was great but Osman stood out because he went the extra mile over the phone - rather than just saying come in. More

We were still in the research phase of everything but wanted to see what our pricing options would be. We were offered a RIDICULOUSLY high price for the model we looked at. The price was well above MSRP even with incentives/cash back. We wanted to finance through our own lender but the dealer kept telling us they couldn't help with that because we would lose incentives. Despite our insistence that we could get a better rate, they would not investigate it further. Negotiations didn't go well as we tried to negotiate the car to a more reasonable price and ended up leaving. This felt very much like the typical sleazy dealership experience. Nothing was up front, nothing was straight forward, everything felt slimy and wrong. We ended up purchasing a Focus ST with many more features/upgrades than the one we were shown at Koons for a much cheaper price. I would not recommend going to this dealership unless you want to spend more to buy a car than it is worth. More

My mother-in-law drove the vehicle and liked it very much. We got to the deal portion and they fell flat. We left very disappointed. I contacted Koons Ford by phone and was put in touch with Victor. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. We arranged to view the car on a Saturday morning (they had to bring from another location). The car was sitting out front with a big red bow. From the time we arrived until we drove away in the new vehicle, Victor was there every step of the way! His customer service was exceptional! Also, Brandi was very courteous and efficient during thanse "paperwork" process. A smooth transaction! More
