I went to the dealership to look at a fairly hard to find late model Tacoma with a V6 and a 6 speed manual. I hadn't purchased a new car, nor been to a dealership in a long, long time, so, the car buying pro late model Tacoma with a V6 and a 6 speed manual. I hadn't purchased a new car, nor been to a dealership in a long, long time, so, the car buying process was very unfamiliar to me. And, having had a couple of bad experiences at other dealerships just days before, I dreaded meeting with another salesman. Seneca happened to be my salesman. He walked me through the whole truck and it's options, then for a test drive. Throughout the whole process he patiently answered all my questions. Even the same questions several times. I felt at ease and not once like a piece of meat or a conquest. This was the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever gone though. Thanks Koons and Seneca for a great truck! More
Ali Gill was a pleasure to work with. Although he is probably the youngest and newest member of the salesman team, he did an amazing job throughout the whole process. He was not pushy at all, unlike mos probably the youngest and newest member of the salesman team, he did an amazing job throughout the whole process. He was not pushy at all, unlike most salesmen, very patient, and knowledgable of the 2013 RAV4 I was looking into purchasing. The car buying process for me took about four hours, but Ali stayed until the very end to prep the car for its send off and to personally hand off the keys to me. I definitely recommend working with Ali and his partner, Ricky Jacobs, as they did an excellent job in ensuring that I was satisified with my entire purchase. Thank you Ali! Keep up the great work! I was in the market for a previously owned Acura MDX and found the exact vehicle I was looking for at Koons Tysons. Like most people, I dreaded the idea of buying a car from a "used car salesman". The expe found the exact vehicle I was looking for at Koons Tysons. Like most people, I dreaded the idea of buying a car from a "used car salesman". The experience I had at the dealer, and specifically the experience with AJ Dembele, has changed my impression of this industry entirely. AJ was professional, courteous, and honest and presented an extremely competitive price (below KBB) for the MDX with exceptional service. Chaz, in their legal department, was also fast and courteous and had me out the door in about 45 minutes. It was a pleasure doing business with AJ and the Koon's Team and highly recommend them to anyone in the market for their next vehicle. More

January 1, 2014 Having relocated to Northern Virginia almost four years ago at the age of 67 years old, I live alone and have no family to rely on. I was in dire need of a reliable car and someone to guide my efforts without taking advantage of my circumstances. By chance I came across an online advertisement for a pre-owned certified 2010 Toyota Corolla with only 8,000 miles. When I called the KOONS Tysons Corner Toyota/Scion Dealership Derrick Miller was the salesperson who received the call, but when I came in to purchase the car Derrick was off, though he assured me that Bill Oakes III would assist me in his absence. Both gentlemen were so patient and provided me with everything I needed to feel comfortable making such an enormous investment, as I knew whatever car I bought would have to last me for the rest of my life. During the two years that I have owned my car, both Derrick and Bill have continued to stay in touch with me to assure that all of my automotive needs continued to be serviced. When it was time for my regular 5000 mile check my visit also coincide with my birthday. Therefore, as an added surprise for my 70th birthday Derrick filled up my car with gas and Bill had it washed; which living alone on a fixed income Derrick and Bill's simple act of kindess was an unexpected luxury for me. Subsequently, if you are in the market for an excellent automobile that you can rely on, and working with a car Dealership that you can trust, KOONS Tysons Corner Toyota/Scion Dealership is the place to come. I can attest without exception that Derrick Miller and/or Bill Oakes III will provide you with an excellent and OUTSTANDING customer service experience that you can trust; and both remain have continually have made me feel like a personal member of the KOONS family of valued customers that are still available to me whenever I need them. I rode along to serve as "wingman" on my daughter's car purchase. Her salesman, Josh Lundy, was friendly, knowledgeable and THOROUGHLY professional. He went over every detail of the vehicle' daughter's car purchase. Her salesman, Josh Lundy, was friendly, knowledgeable and THOROUGHLY professional. He went over every detail of the vehicle's history with her and made a point to demonstrate its features during our test drives. He showed us several competing vehicles as well and was equally knowledgeable about them. When it came time for her to make a choice, he stood back, applied NO pressure, and when she came to a decision made no attempt to steer her toward a more expensive, more elaborately equipped vehicle she had also considered. It was easily the best car-buying experience I've ever been associated with. More
WORST experience ever at a dealer. I DO NOT recommend this dealer to my friends or anyone who is looking to purchase a car. Our family is a fairly loyal customer of Toyota. I have been looking at car this dealer to my friends or anyone who is looking to purchase a car. Our family is a fairly loyal customer of Toyota. I have been looking at cars the past few weeks and have visited quite a few dealers. I have NEVER seen the situation I went through today. I have a calf muscle injury so I really need to test drive a car before I purchase to make sure that the style of the pedal will not hurt my calf muscle when driving. The experience started off well; the gentleman at the door was very friendly and led me to a salesman (who was AWFUL). I told the salesman I was interested in the the Highlander SE. He took me outside, found the right Highlander and told me to wait while he went to get the key (it's Dec 26th- extremely cold)!! Don't most dealers find the car and bring it while the customer waits inside? What was the point of leading me to the lot and just having me wait there? Shows lack of training of the sales staff. He came back and we were on the road. I told him about my calf injury and noted that I would like to try the stop to start acceleration on local rds and also see how it drives on the highway at higher speeds. He says ok. We go on a local route of about 3-4 miles and we're back at the dealer? I mention I want to try it at higher speeds and he says NO. He has another appointment at 4pm (it was about 4:05 at this point). Why did he even take me for a test drive then? I continue to mention b/c of my leg, I need to see how my leg will respond when I press the pedal harder at higher speeds. He says NO. The dealer cannot allow me to drive more than 3-4 miles. I drive into the dealer and I continue to press - I didn't want to have wasted my time/effort to get here for nothing. He says he will ask a manager. He comes back and says NO. I say, so should I take my business somewhere else? He says ok - bye. WHAT? I'm so shocked at this point- I want to notify someone. I go back in and tell the gentleman at the front about the situation. He is the only nice person in this dealer. He asks me to wait and he will try to talk to a manager. The manager comes by - (who by the way does not even apologize for me being upset?) but says he can handle the situation and allow me to go on a 10 min drive to test out the highway. I do the 10 minute drive on the highway (3 MORE MILES IS ALL IT TOOK), bring the car back to the dealer and leave. I will most likely be purchasing this car but NOT AT KOONS. I will take my business elsewhere and will tell my friends to do so as well. Koons lost my business of $35k because of a measly 3-4 extra miles they didn't want me to drive even though I told them about my calf muscle injury. Most dealers on a normal basis usually have a test drive route longer than 3-4 miles from the start!! Not only that, the salesman did not show me the rearview camera, did not show me the cargo space, did not show me any features of the car. Worst dealer experience ever. I'm not putting the salesman name here b/c as a decent person, I don't want to be responsible for him not having car sales but I do hope that the sales staff is trained better in the future. What a horrible experience. More
