Called Aiman and he told me to wait an hour before coming in, he had some sales in progress (I appreciated that). Had done all my homework and I was ready to purchase a car when I walked in at 1:45 p.m. on in, he had some sales in progress (I appreciated that). Had done all my homework and I was ready to purchase a car when I walked in at 1:45 p.m. on a Saturday. The place was already humming with activity, Aimen came to greet me and said Cecil would be handling the sale. It took a while before we went out to check the models in the lot, I was in no hurry, figured on 4 hours to wrap it all up. There were a few Camry SE models in black, every single one of them was loaded with options, I just wanted the navigation package. Sticker was several thousand over my target. Hmmm, ok...probably no sale today as my final offer would probably get rejected. Cecil was very pleasant though quite low key as a salesman. We walked back into the dealership to do some more searching. Shortly after that Aiman took over, he thanked my for my patience and said not to worry, they didn't have my first choice but I'd be walking out with a new car and a good deal. Music to my ears, and I'd hold him to that promise (I negotiate better when the car isn't a perfect match). Salesmen are caught between their overseer and the client, each pulling hard in opposite directions. Some buyers find this ritual irritating and either give up or give in. I don't, as it rewards those willing to work for a deal. Finally got around to the price and we went back and forth a few times before drawing lines in the sand. The usual appeal to impulsive behavior was made, sign here and the car is yours, I passed. Said he was close, $500 further down and we have a deal, my final offer (I wasn't lying). Shortly after that the extended hand came out and after a little snafu which Aiman fixed promptly (color was grey instead of black) it was on to financing. They say if you want to get something done, give it to a busy person. Aiman was all that and more, a laser like focus on closing a deal, small talk kept to a minimum and an excellent judge of personality. I was very happy with the final price and drove off the lot with a big smile on my face in just under four hours. Toyota did a fantastic job in redesigning the 2012 Camry, plush feeling interior, luxury car ride, solid as a rock. More
It has been a few months since I purchased my vehicle, but I cannot keep from writing about my terrible experience. On my first visit to the dealership we dealt with Haile. We test drove the car we were i but I cannot keep from writing about my terrible experience. On my first visit to the dealership we dealt with Haile. We test drove the car we were interested and then they took the keys to my trade in car and my husband & I sat there for 4 hours while they did a trade in value and tried to convince us to buy the car even though we wanted to go home and do research since we did not know much about the make or model or price point. It felt like we were held hostage because they did not return my keys until the last second and after multiple "NO's" they FINALLY let us go home. After our research we returned the following day and purchased the vehicle even though I did not like the way we were treated the day before. This time we worked with Philip. The Used car was not in the best shape and I wanted some tweaks done to it before purchasing. Example: Cigarette burn in the seat, scratches on the inside panel of the doors and the hatchback cover with a peg missing and torn rope making it unusable. I wanted my "New" Used car to be in decent shape and received a "We Owe You" slip and was promised everything would be done after purchase. A few days later I traded my car in for a rental so they could fix what they promised. It took 2 days, not one. It came back half fixed. The cigarette burn was gone and I was given a driver's manual and an extra key which I was happy about. Now the hatchback cover is still broken and was told that the parts were ordered & they would be in at the end of the week. So I went back at the end of the week for them to finish the repairs. I was told to drive to the Mazda dealer to have them do it. They couldn't since it wasn't paid for yet. Long story short, I had to go back & forth 3 times, paid out of MY pocket and then was promised by Philip and Haile that I would be reimbursed. I was given a guilt trip from Philip that Koons never approved his "We Owe You" slip and he paid for the original stuff out of his pocket. Then he gave me $60 cash (out of his pocket, I'm sure) and sent me on my way still with the promise of a check coming from Koons. Well, It has been over 3 months & I have no check from Koons. The $60 cash that was given to me did cover my expenses so I didn't argue about not receiving the check, but I am still upset with the whole situation. I should be happy when purchasing a 'new' car. Not frustrated and crying on day one and then a week later. I will never go back to buy a car there and will not recommend Koons of Tysons. More

My husband and I went to Koons to see new cars and also a used car advertised on their web site. Sam Jawaid had emailed me in response to my inquiry about a used car and was very friendly and helpful. When used car advertised on their web site. Sam Jawaid had emailed me in response to my inquiry about a used car and was very friendly and helpful. When we got to the dealer, he took us on a test drive, was again friendly, and was knowledgeable about the car. As soon as we sat down to talk price, he told us that Joe Romeo would be helping us. Things started going downhill quickly. Joe had a raging cold and I was afraid he was going to give it to us. He offered me $1500 on my trade-in, though the KBB trade-in value was $5500 and other dealers had offered me $4000-6000. Mind you, Koons' TV ads for "up to 125% of KBB value" were on ALL THE TIME, so I was particularly offended that I was offered so little. I nicely told Joe this and he said that maybe he made a mistake, and he called over his supervisor, Pushkar Bhasin. Pushkar also he would give us a great deal but couldn't get the price of the new car below what other dealers offered, despite upping the trade to $4000. Plus, they made us physically look at the car before we discussed price, even though we had seen the car at another dealer, and it took them forever to "find" the car and pull it to the front of the lot. Pushkar said he was a "straight shooter," "honest," and would give us the "best deal" but that was he offered was the very best deal he could provide. When I said that was too much, he started to negotiate. Then I asked about the used car again, and he said he couldn't show us used cars and couldn't give me $4000 for my car if we bought a used car. But as we were leaving, he said he could show us used cars and could also give me $4000 for my trade. Meanwhile, Joe kept hovering over us, standing in the cubicle next to us. Pushkar said their best price was only good that night, but as we walked out the door without a car many hours later, he said that we could stop by the next day. And they called and emailed repeatedly the next day. Bottom line, Sam was nice and helpful, but we didn't appreciate getting passed around and did not feel that this dealership was honest. Everything they said was straight out of the car dealer sales playbook -- the good cop/bad cop, "this deal is only good today," bait and switch advertising on TV, etc. I didn't feel that this dealer was treating me with respect. I ended up buying a car at a different dealer the next day. More

Went to purchase a 2005 Mazda RX8, the car looked immaculate in pictures and i was told the car was perfect driving too. I am located in NY and drove 7 hours to virgina to purchase this car. Got the immaculate in pictures and i was told the car was perfect driving too. I am located in NY and drove 7 hours to virgina to purchase this car. Got the keys in my hand and went outside to start it up and look it over. Car was beautiful inside and out...until i went to start it. The car had to crank 8 or 9 times just to start. finally after it started we went for a drive. First anf second gear did not pull like they should the car was only getting half the power it should and all AJ kept saying was its fine its fine its fine. WELL THEY LIE!!! We already own a mazda rx8 in the family so we know EXACTLY how they drive. This one was NOT right. And all this dealer tried to do is hide the problems the car had. After a waste of 14 hours of driving i still do not own a mazda rx8 due to this pure xxxx dealer. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER THEY ARE 2 FACED LIERS!!!!! More
I purchased a used Highlander last week. The cars were very clean inside, a detail that many dealers miss for some reason. Shahzad “Sam” Jawaid was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and each step very clean inside, a detail that many dealers miss for some reason. Shahzad “Sam” Jawaid was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and each step in the purchasing process, answering all of my questions. All of the people I interacted with at the dealership were friendly and at no time did I feel pressured by anyone to make a decision. The price was no-haggle (it was an internet price), which takes off even more pressure. I financed the purchase with Toyota Financial Services so business manager Sam Robles walked me through the paperwork and had me on the road quickly. For me, this was a great car buying experience and I would feel comfortable recommending Sam and Koons Tyson’s Toyota to my friends or anyone looking to buy. More
