I wanted to buy a good used car. The sticker says I have a right to have the car inspected by a mechanic. After I took the car to mechanic, it was discovered there were too many thing going wrong with the a right to have the car inspected by a mechanic. After I took the car to mechanic, it was discovered there were too many thing going wrong with the car, 2008 Subaru Legacy. The fluids had not even been changed. Oil was old and dirty. I took it back and said no deal. The sales manager belittled and berated me. Luckily I recorded this. I was taken aback by the verbal threats and lack of customer focus. They were focused more on selling me a crappy car than helping me find a car that was good. I will never return nor recommend Koons. More

This dealer prides themselves on being the biggest volume dealer in the DC area but I just don't see how this can be true. They had the perfect used car for me but when I came it to see it, I realized it had dealer in the DC area but I just don't see how this can be true. Knowing they didn't have the used car for me I asked about leasing. They quoted me a price ONE HUNDRED dollars per month more than what both Fitzgerald and Darcars had quoted me (they both gave me the same quote). When I pointed this out the manager said there was no way that price was possible, I'd been quoted for a base model when I wanted a Limited. I repeated multiple times that this was not the case, I had driven the cars I was being quoted for. They refused to come down so I left (they had the color I wanted, the other two dealers didn't). To Virginia- cross the border to Maryland, you'll get much better prices! More

This dealership and by the way it sounds, the chain of Koon's dealerships are a bunch of rude, dishonest, sneaky, scandilous people. I was in the process of buying a car from them but instead they screwed me over and sold the car to someone else. I spoke with the sales manager (Steve) and the finance manager (can't remember the name) the day before, and was just waiting for them to Fedex the paperwok over to me so I could sign it to finalize the contract. Everthing was ready to go but the next day I called, no one at Koons Toyota would pick up either their business or cell phone. I could only reach their voice mail or be transfered in circles. Finally after the dealership was closed, the salesman I've been working with calls me and tells me that the car was sold to someone else. He said that he couldn't do anything about it. I was in shock and disbelief of what I had heard. They undercut me and did a dirty thing because they didn't want to wait. This is the most HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING, INCONSIDERATE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND DISHONEST customer relations and service I have ever had. KOONS dealership have the worst business ethics. They you as dollar signs not people. More

I received a quote from one of the salesmen (initials WP) over the phone who said he verified with the manager several times so he wouldn't be wasting our time. When we got there, the vehicle was ready, with exact specs as requested. Since the price had already been agreed upon and verified several times over the phone without question we proceeded to the paper work. The salesperson had actually written down the agreed upon number and showed it to us for final verification. Than he said the manager had to sign off on it so we can proceed. We didn't think there would be any problems since the manager had already agreed to the quote. Just a reminder, the quote had already been presented and approved and agreed to by us. At this point the manager (of Asian decent, can't remember initials) came and sat down to tell us that he can't give us the quoted price. I thought he was joking and laughed, but he was serious. He said that there was a 'miscommunication' between him and the salesman. I told them that as ridiculous as that sounds, it's really not our problem. Since there were agreements over the phone, in person, and now written on paper, there shouldn't be any issue on our side, just theirs. The salesman (standing right behind him) was agreeing with us and saying that he did in fact verify the final price several times with the manager. At one point, the manager was saying that the Jamaican decent salesperson (WP) did not speak English well. Not that it matters, but the salesperson spoke the phony car salesman English just fine. May be not as phony and xxxx-like as the manager. We ended up leaving the dealership incredibly frustrated and completely baffled by the kind of xxxx that exist in the world of car sales. KOONS definitely has the worst xxxx from top down. Just a side note, we ended up buying the car from another dealership (Darcars, the typical car salesmen) at the original quoted price that KOONS had given us but did not execute. More

I highly recommend Sunny as a sales person. Since March of 2000 until now I bought 3 new cars from her and I always go back because of her great customer service. If you buy a car from Koons Tysons Toyota, make sure she gets your business. Sunny is honest and upfront and she does her best to her customers. She never rushed me to make a buying decision, and always made sure I'm getting the right car at a fair price with the right finance program. She always goes out of her way to guarantee the great customer service. The last 2 cars I bought 2007 FJ and 2009 Yaris, we agreed on everything over the phone and when I went to the dealership, she had everything ready for me even the paperwork to sign because I asked her to be in and out in less than 1 hour and I was done driving my new car in 45 minutes. Also Aria in service is very good and very friendly. More

We recently bought a car at the Tysons Koons and asked for a few things to be fixed in the transaction. We received the commitment in writing, but when we arrived to have the work done, the manager renege for a few things to be fixed in the transaction. We received the commitment in writing, but when we arrived to have the work done, the manager reneged, claiming the "in writing" guarantee was not what he meant and that he didn't say anything he actually said in the sale. He outright lied to us. I've left messages for the GM and the owner of the Koons dealerships and have received no calls back. It's safe to say customer service is not a priority, so my money for the next vehicle we plan to buy and all repairs will not be at anything Koons in the furture. I recommend strongly that everyone avoid the Koons name. There are plenty of car dealerships out there. Don't waste your time with this chain. More

I don't know about other salesperson in this dealership, but this paticular salesperson I was dealing with was VERY RUDE!! When I asked for a test drive, she asked me to show my car insurance card. At that time I was seeking for my first car and of course I didn't have it. She said, so I'll have to be on the car. I said, that's alright. Then she said: "But I don't want to". In the end, I test drove in the parking lot around their office, if you call that a test drive. This salesperson didn't seem she's hoping to make a deal at all. She didn't seem to care about introducing the car, and was unwilling to negotiate the price. She walked in to talk to her manager about the price once, like many other dealers do, but when she came out, not a penny was dedected. Finally when I was about to leave, I asked her to give me the piece of paper where car equipment and prices are listed, just for my record, the answer is "No, you are not making deal with me so you can't take this". Then I made a deal elsewhere with $1,600 less. If this was the end of the story, I wouldn't be posting this review. A few days later, she called back and ask if I'm still in need of a new car. I said I've got my car elsewhere. I also told her the dealership I got my car from as she requested. Then she hung up my phone suddenly and rudely. It seems that if they don't earn your business, they don't pay any respect to you either. I don't know how they'll treat you if you make a deal with them, but if you plan to do so, good luck! All in all, I went to 5 different dealerships for my new car, and this is the worst I've ever had. DON'T EVEN WALK IN THIS DEALERSHIP IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET INSULTED !! More
