I visited Tysons Toyota with the intention of purchasing a car. I found the sales staff overly pushy and unhelpful, refusing to listen to my requests or address my questions and constantly attempting to co a car. I was in the process of researching cars to make my first ever car buy. I was pretty sure I wanted the Yaris, but wanted to test drive it and a few other cars and have a few days to ponder over it before ac ever car buy. I made my entire situation clear right when I met with my salesman and said I would not be making any purchase that day, simply test driving. The first Yaris the salesman pulls out for me is a decent used one, but it had a rusted dent in the side that definitely should've been fixed before even putting it on the sales lot. On top of that, they were asking for about $18,000 on a used Yaris Sedan that had way over 100,000 miles on it in less than a year...I wouldn't have payed a cent over $9,000 for something like that. After I test drove another Yaris sedan, I was pretty sure it was the car for me, but Koons didn't have any of the hatchback versions in stock, which was the style I wanted (I made it clear I didn't want a sedan). When discussing this with my salesman, he said he understood. When I stated that I'd be comfortable doing a factory order of the Yaris hatchback, he told me to old on a moment...he walked away and brought back a pricing sheet for the car I just test drove and asked me to sign at the bottom...trying to convince me to put down a deposit on a car I said I didn't want. When I kept saying I was going to leave, he kept walking away saying he was just going to bring me some information about the car...but everytime he came back he began trying to convince me to buy THAT car THAT day because he had a quota to meet. I told him AT LEAST (no exaggeration) 10 times that there was NO WAY I would be purchasing a car that day. He called me the next day to tell me that the car I wanted (which I said I didn't actually want) was still available and ready to pick up anytime. I said no thank, please don't call back...2 days later, he called back. The same day of that fiasco I went to Lustine Toyota in Woodbridge and was so relieved by how much more professional and considerate they were that I bought a Yaris from them that same afternoon and haven't regretted it one bit. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT ON ANY KOONS DEALERSHIP AGAIN. They are LIARS, CHEATERS, RUDE, and INCOMPETENT SCUMBAGS. More

The offer sheet showed my agreed price, taxes, tags, freight, etc. to arrive at our final price. We agreed. After later examining the sheet, we discovered the extra freight charge....they were double charging us for the same freight. When confronted about it, Kaveh, one of the sales managers "confessed" that double charging freight is a standard practice in the industry and is done for profit when deals are being made at just over invoice. If this is the way Koons Tysons Toyota does business...they won't get mine anymore. In fact, I will not set foot in any Koons dealership again. If you go there....be very wary of what charges they are hitting you with. Make sure they only hit you with them once....and when the numbers don't add up on the invoice...make sure to get an explanation of what the "missing numbers" are. Plain and simple....they are just crooks there. More

When I signed the papers they didn't inform me I'm actually signing rent-a-car contract. 40 days later they voided the contract for sale and didn't leave me other option eccept to buy their car. We were recently looking at SUVs, and this sales guy who was first helping us seemed OK and helpful at first...until my wife started asking questions. He didn't want to make eye contact with her in the first place and only wanted to deal with me, but my wife had more specific questions than I did, like about the standard features which we couldn't get a straight answer on. He finally got exasperated with my wife's questions and said (paraphrasing): "Look, I'm from Iran. We know a lot about bartering, so selling cars is little different. It's like how we do in Iran, we barter livestock for daughters hand in marriage. There's no difference in trading cows or women." Well, this didn't go over well with my wife, especially since the guy was smirking when he said it. Then he butted in when my wife and I started discussing something and said "You are not listening to your husband!!" At this point, I told him I wanted to speak to his manager because he was being offensive. He disappeared FAST. His manager made the usual apologies but didn't seem sincere at all, because I told him he should be FIRED. We told them their dealsership STINKS and got far better treatment at Chantilly Toyota. Terrible in terms of being non-responsive, poor follow up, poor quality. Make you feel they are doing you a favor to fix a service bulletin. Every repair has needed to be redone. I went to Koons Tysons Toyota to buy out my lease. What a mistake! I was told i would be charged $500 for a "cost of doing business" fee. I was also told that if i did my buyout at ANY OTHER toyota dealershi mistake! I was told i would be charged $500 for a "cost of doing business" fee. I was also told that if i did my buyout at ANY OTHER toyota dealership other than Koons, i would be charged sales tax. though another dealership was willing to charge me less for this mystery fee, i opted to go with Koons Tysons b/c i would not be charged sales tax. I was charged sales tax...and i was told that it would be refunded to me. Despite my arguements i was told this is how things are supposed to work. One month and another set of temp tags later, i inquired about my tax refund and after numerous calls, i was told that i shouldnt have been charged tax and that my loan paperwork needed to be redone. After about 5 more trips to this dealership and hours of time lost at work dealing with this, my new paperwork was processed. i then started receiving calls from collection departments saying my first loan was in default. i've been trying to get this fixed for 2 weeks with this dealership and everytime im told someone will call me they wont. i leave message after message and always seem to find that the person was on vacation. this dealership clearly doesnt seem to have any regard for their customer and their time. if they had done this paperwork right to begin with, i AND the dealership wouldnt be wasting so much time now. this situation has NOT been cleared up as of today. i have already filed complaints with BBB and the management of this dealership. PROCEED WITH CAUTION regarding any sales at Koons Tysons Toyota. I will, however, say that the service department has always been fantastic. at least one part of this company is doing something right! More

I had my own financing arranged, I made this clear from the start and had no desire to finance through them. The salesperson seemed alright with that but then later handed me a "Homeland Security Form" to the start and had no desire to finance through them. Well this form was mislabeled and said "Toyota Credit Application" at the top. I don't appreciate that kind of tactic and in the DC area, they should know better than to try to pull a stunt like that...everybody is a fed here! The finance manager was strictly business and barely greeted me. Had I not been in a pinch for a car, I would have gone anywhere else to buy my car. More
