On November 17, 2020, we had our left rear tire replaced at Koons Tysons Toyota and early morning of November 21, 2020, that exact tire blew out while we were driving at highway speed along Interstate 95 wh at Koons Tysons Toyota and early morning of November 21, 2020, that exact tire blew out while we were driving at highway speed along Interstate 95 which put my family in grave danger. We had to replace the tire in the middle of the highway---with barely any lights as it was only past 5 in the morning, extremely chilly, and with cars/trucks driving past on both sides. We needed to cancel the trip and drive back home for more than 2 hours. When we got to the Service Center, it was far more distressing how the staff handled our situation! They made conflicting statements on the severity of the rim damage and in the end, not replacing it because it was not damaged "enough". What's worse are the staff teaming up on us insisting that it was an object on the road that punctured the tire and when asked what's their proof, they said "based on their experience". So, it didn't matter what OUR FIRSTHAND experience is and that we have documented it with pictures and videos of the road evidently showing no single object in sight. The 3 old tires are perfectly fine but that left rear tire they just installed blew out...and the staff just blatantly denied any sense of accountability! For over 30,000 miles, we've driven our vehicle without any problem, but within that same week they replaced the left rear tire....was the ONLY TIME WE EVER EXPERIENCED SUCH A LIFE-THREATENING TIRE BLOW OUT ON THE HIGHWAY. No empathy for what my family went through but could only care about their policy of doing minimal repair (even charging us for wheel alignment) leaving us unsatisfied and unsafe! More
I accepted a deal in writing with Koons Tysons Toyota management, Salesman, and Appraiser for the trade in of my 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport in October, 2020. That deal was verified the morning of my arrival t management, Salesman, and Appraiser for the trade in of my 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport in October, 2020. That deal was verified the morning of my arrival to buy a new 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport on November 1, 2020. However, on my arrival to the dealership a few hours later (Nov. 1) their management team refused the previously accepted in-writing deal. I've spoken to multiple managers and none of them care about the in-writing promise that was made to me. One of the managers said "post a review, it's a free country." If ANY competitors of Koons wants to see my communication history with Koons Tysons Toyota, please let me know. In my opinion, Koons Tysons of Toyota doesn't care about customer loyalty, they don't care about honoring their promises, and they think they can bully loyal customers. For them, it's all about the money and playing the game. I am appalled. The public should shop elsewhere for Tacoma trucks. There are plenty of other dealerships to shop from. Amar Rana is the General Manager Alex Armakan is the Sales Manager Ricky Jacobs is the Internet Manager All 3, plus the appraiser, Kevin Butler, and the salesman, have been on all communication emails. None of them seem to care about the Koons Promise that I received in writing. It's shameful. More

We are new to Virginia and this was our first experience in buying a vehicle here. We initially dealt with the Sales Manager Hassan Usami. Visited this dealer ready to purchase a vehicle and was greatly disappointed in the integrity of the finance/managerial staff. When we were taken to talk to the dealerships' financial staff an interest greatly disappointed in the integrity of the finance/managerial staff. When we were taken to talk to the dealerships' financial staff an interest rate of 1.99% from Sun Trust bank was offered, the financial institute that we currently use offered us a lower rate for the amount that that was needed to purchase the vehicle. At this point in time a Luis Castillo walks in and introduces himself as the Pre Owned Sales Manager. He then disputes the claims of my financial institute, feel the weight of his ego and asks the finance lady on what was that interest rate that was offered to us; she replies with a different percentage then originally offered (planned? maybe). When I called her out on it, she disputed it; she was was certain that it was not 1.99%. Mr. Castillo keep bashing persistently and keep repeating "how much do you really want this car, because it can be gone if you don't take it now". It was getting really annoying. This was the biggest BS because there are so many 2018 RAV4s not only in this dealer but others with the same exact specification and mileage. Well at this point Mr Castillo feel that he everything figured out. The finance lady then tells him one critical detail, that detail is that we were going to put 70% ($15,000) of the payment in cash at this very moment. Boom, his mind was blown and the amount of bs that came out of his mouth after was incredible. We decided not to purchase from here for the mere fact that Mr. Castillo is a man who uses his ego/character as a drive factor for clients to forcibly take the dealers offer and not have the integrity or moral courage to work along side the client. FYI, he claimed to have worked at the headquarters of the financial company as well; with some research those claims do not seem valid. In short, Mr. Castillo is on off of being a conman who only takes interest in his own investments and not that of his subordinates or clients. He lacks attention to detail, integrity, and respect. A person in his position should have these qualities and adhere to them. I do feel for the salesmen who took is time in giving the opportunity to view so many vehicles until we found the perfect one. Unfortunately, Mr. Castillo has cost one of his subordinates a sale and I mentioned to the salesmen as well that we were grateful for his time. More
