Rightttt....I sure did hear from Mr. Coleto, the Customer Relations Manager, who initially offered a rental as substitute for the duration until the recall fix is here, ALTHOUGH this truck was purchased under the impression of being "Certified Used" for my son's birthday, than I reached out to him over the phone this past week of May 15th and sought out a compromise with him to exchange the truck for a similar one or newer with the same or less amount of miles in order for Koons to make good after what the stunt they pulled off, yet Huan kept citing that "Koons would not be able to exchange the truck for a same one or newer, because it would sound as we are negligent", he agreed to have me bring the truck in for appraisal. So, Huan scheduled an appointment to have my truck brought in and appraised on Friday, May 15th at 4:30 pm, when I arrived there about 4:45-50, and paged the man, he came out to conduct his 'own appraisal'. After waiting around for an hour, I get called to visit his office where he claimed that "he conducted his own appraisal and have people call shops around to check the value of the same truck with the exact amount of miles" and the valuation came to 34K!!!! I responded by saying: You are humiliating and adding an insult to injury, even though I made an effort to come to some sort of compromise with Koons, where I would take little loss and Koons alike in order to rectify the stunt your sales pitchers pulled off on me on February 29th at 10:15 pm, after 6+ hours of waiting around and purchasing a different truck on the same day." Huan, was being quiet throughout my entire explanation and responded by saying "Sir, I understand you are upset, but due to the current COVID-19 situation, where cars are not selling a lot and when one drives off the lot the valuation takes a dive, and this is the best we can do, 34K"! I responded by saying: Ok, here is the deal... you find me the same truck with the same amount of miles for 35K or even for 40K, I will write you a check and take it home right now and you can get it from any dealer you want, in light of your attempted sales pitch to make your money twice on a bad deal that your shop was accomplice and towards a loyal long-term customer!!! He responded by saying: "We don't have the same one and there isn't one available for sale anywhere". I responded by saying: Your shop conned me initially by deceiving and selling me an open recall vehicle as a certified used, which was parked in front of your front door, and than your salesman pulled me out of the finance guy's office around 10:12 PM 'to sign additional paperwork that was missed', which in fact was the carfax reports pages drawn a line on each one and was never included on your famous USB stick that was given to me at 10:20 on that Saturday of February 29th, 2020. I suggest you come to some senses and reach a realistic deal and quit humiliating me with a double low-balling sales pitch to an already exacerbated injury. Huan responded again using his typical dealer refuting style by saying: "I am not playing game here Sir, and this is the best I can do". I than got out of control and told him: "You think I enjoy stopping by here twice already and deal with you and your con like shop, and get insulted each time!? Give the me the freaking keys and we're done here." My suggestion to Koons con-team is that you put a serious offer on the table to find & exchange it for a similar truck (which I saw two of them on 5/15 on their parking lot), beside having my SON operate a faulty vehicle with an open serious recall 'fuel pump that could stall and cause accident while operated at high speed' to not offer a rental or insult me with an appraisal that is humiliating on a 'Certified Used' truck that was listed on February 29th for "54K and other additions that made this truck 67k+" in front of your shops door, because you will be held negligent if something happens to him or anyone operating this vehicle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I insist that Koons make good within 2 weeks from today (05/16/2020), by exchanging the same truck for a used certified or newer with the same or less miles. I am not paying for a parked faulty open-recall vehicle and end up using a rental because your shop never disclosed the open recall initially, which was pitched and reached a deal on the 49K amount with GSM Jeff as a certified used truck to have it turn out a recall junk, no way! In case I do not hear from KOONS within two week period, I will reach out to local media, including online platforms to have my story heard and make sure others do not fall for the same stunt, and possibly through other civil routes.

I think it's only fair for us to explain what happened here. After you spoke with our used car director, we explained that the vehicle had an aftermarket modification that would not pass emissions. You signed a disclosure stating that you acknowledged your purchase wouldn't pass. You're correct in that the vehicle is not Certified. We've reached out to Toyota to ensure that the vehicle listing is accurate. Thank you.

It should be more than "concerning" - There's close to 100 negative reviews just on this site on Koons, it's apparent that there's a pattern and the staff mentioned lacked integrity & the demenaor needed to interact with a wide variety of customers. Writing generic responses across these comments does not address the systemic issue at hand- I suggest using your time to do a detailed review of your staff's performance/actions rather trying to passively refute our direct interaction with Koons staff - Lastly, we didn't just "feel", we "experienced".
