I Bought my Car on Nov. 10th, test drove it and everything was perfect. They took it around back to fill it up with gas while I signed my paper work. I drove it off the parking lot and the tire pressure light came on as well as a digital read saying "Check fuel cap" then the check engine light came on soon after the message disappeared. I turned around, came back, they quickly did something to reset everything and said that the gas cap needs to be tightened only one click. Or the alert will happened. A week later I fill it up with gas and the same thing happens with both the tire pressure light and gas cap/check engine. I get it serviced 10 days later, in and out. They just reset it. The tire pressure light was never an issue again. So I was grateful for that and happy with my new ride. The very next time I gas up though, cap alert/check engine light again pops up. I call up and they say to never make it gas cap click, just tighten it & that the alert will go away. I told them I was leaving out of state for thanksgiving and if it doesn't fix itself could I come back the 1st week in December and they said yes No Problem. This time, I waited about 4 hours before I walked up to see how my car was doing. I come to learn that my service guy left for a family emergency and nobody contacted me as I just waited, well they flustered around and cause nobody had been working on my car... said they would get it fixed ASAP I told them it might be a censor issue but ... within 15 mins. It was done. Guess it was just a reset. I was working from home most of December so I drove less frequently ... but as soon as i filled up, AGAIN! Check engine light. I come in for service they tell me it will take at least a day to find out what's wrong, I said I had a meeting I had to be at. They offered a free rental car service... but I had just changed my car insurance to full cover and it didn't kick in until the next day. But I was again leaving for the holidays out of state driving and wouldn't be able to come back til the 2nd week of January. I took my car back still broken & I was assured that the next time I bring it in, I'll be taken care of & to come early in the morning to leave it all day. Guess what? Today is Jan 14th and I bring it in at 9am and it's a different guy and I have to re-explain everything from the start. He tells me I don't have coverage for this. That it's past the new sale warranty. I ask to leave it and get a rental and they say they can give me a discount. What?! I said I'll just wait then as work is 40 mins away and they said it will be a couple hours. They sent me over to Honda to find a guy named Stephen. I went and they had NO CLUE what I was talking about. Said I have no extended warranty. I'll have to pay now to get it fixed. Thanks a lot DAVID!!! I'm so upset that I got suckered into this. They kept pushing me off and purposely didn't document every time I called. Now I'm stuck with a busted car that I'll have to fix out of pocket and it's only been 2 months since Ive purchase it. I will never do business with them again. I had thought about returning it right after it had happens on day one... They made it seem like it was no biggie and that rest assured it would be fixed with no cost to me at all. It's cost me 3 days of missed work and as a contractor I won't get paid for & now I gotta fix it. Absolutely inexcusable. More

In order to facili During my car purchase with Koons Tysons Toyota, I found there exist serious fraudulent conducts in this company’s selling process. In order to facilitate the deal with me, the salesman promised an out-the-door price. After repeated confirmations, I had been persuaded that the price was all I needed to have that car and they also promised to register the car for me and get me the tag and title. However, this place neither registered the car nor pay the sales tax without any notification. I found out that they did not fulfill their responsibilities. I had to pay the extra money and do the registration work all by myself when my temporary license would soon expire. Till now, Koons Tysons Toyota refused to send back the extra money and they did nor give any explanation on this. I think this is purely a consumer fraud that needs to be punished. They should keep their promise and compensate for my loss. More
Wonderful Experience Occasionally, things happen that are so unexpectedly wonderful that they restore your faith and confidence in the goodness of people. I had such an ex Occasionally, things happen that are so unexpectedly wonderful that they restore your faith and confidence in the goodness of people. I had such an experience recently at Koons Tyson Toyota on Leesburg Pike in Vienna Virginia. Let me briefly tell you the story. Two weeks ago my 2007 Saturn Greenline Vue broke down after giving me years of stress free transportation. I was devastated. As an older woman, very wary of sales representatives, I did not look forward to the task of finding a new vehicle. My funds were limited and I was utterly unfamiliar with newer car models. I found temporary transportation and began the task of visiting car dealerships. I sat through agonizing credit checks and was repeatedly shown cars with high mileage and poor maintenance histories. All of that changed, when I called to inquire about the cars on sale at Koons Tyson Toyota. The young man who answered the phone, Khalil Chadad, listened patiently to my concerns. He invited me to apply for credit online and assured me that Koons would find a way to help. When I called a few days later to check on the credit application I talked to Osabo Isse, in the finance department. She invited me to drive over, take a look at the available cars, and trust that Koons would do everything possible to help me resolve my car crisis. I went over later in the afternoon and was introduced to Brahim Zit, a sales representative and Warfa Isse one of the floor managers. Much to my surprise, Brahim had already discussed my concerns and needs – – and had several vehicles in mind. Later that day, I left with a slightly used Toyota Rav, financing that I can afford, and a restored sense of faith in car dealerships. The team at Koons Tyson Toyota were not only professional, knowledgeable about the cars they are selling, but they treated me with care, compassion, understanding, and respect. If it were possible to give them and the managers at this dealership higher review scores I would not hesitate. Everyone should know about this exceptional dealership and the truly awesome people working there. From senior managers down to assistant salespeople each made me feel that I was a valued customer and each went out of their way to make my car buying experience successful and pleasant. Nigel Hayes, the General Manager has put together a first class team. So, if you are in the market for a new or used car, do yourself a favor and visit Koons Tyson Toyota. You'll be glad you did. When my vehicle was ready, I called the number 703-790-5920, pressed 4 for service then 3 for shuttle, Nobody would pickup. Left a message with phone number. No one returned call. I used the chat service and asked for shuttle help. They noted down name and phone number and no response after that. I also texted my service advisor ANTHONY GONZOLEZ mentioning that I am not able to reach shuttle pickup service. No response from him either. On a Friday evening all but one colleague had left work. My colleage was nice enough to go out of the way and drop me even though traffic is a nightmare at around 5 pm on a Friday. When I reached Koons, I was told I should call a specific number. This is unacceptable. Fix the following: 1. Your number promting for shuttle service. 2. Train your service advisor to be helpful 3. Train your employees assisting through chat service to be helpful I scheduled the appointment through chat service. When it comes to $$ for the company the chat service works like a charm. But when it comes to help with shuttle service absolutely no help. More

Last week my wife took in her Rav4 due to a check engine and other warning lights coming on and the transmission shifting poorly. While the tech was very professional in locating the potential cause, the estimate given to my wife was outrageous in price and in solution. Only after stating it was too expensive was she given an offer to repair it at about a third of the initial $3362 quote. My distraught wife called me and I instructed her to bring the Rav4 back home. After a bit of research on the error code and possible causes i located damaged wiring (2 wires) which the service tech had also found, in addition i also found evidence of a mouse or ground squirrel having been in the engine compartment. Much to my concern was the multitude of information on the internet concerning the soy based plastic insulation wiring Toyota is using and its apparent attraction to rodents. This problem is not a fault of the dealer but a potential cause of the problem and a reason for concern. Total time spent by me was less than 2 hours as the procedure was easily accomplished by removing the battery, battery tray and removing 2 zip ties holding the harness in place, soldering splices repairing the broken wiring, then reassembly. I would expect a professional mechanic to have conducted this same task in half the time as I had to gather tools, materials etc and given the fact I am not a professional mechanic. The total parts cost for the repair was under $10 as it consisted of 2 wire ties, electrical tape, solder, 6 inches of wire and heat shrink tubing. While this experience alone was enough to raise questions as to the integrity and trustworthiness of the dealership, those concerns were reinforced when the service department sent a letter 3 days later that indicated my wife had declined service to include 4 new tires and recommended their replacement. Knowing my wife (within the past few months) had purchased new tires... I went out to her Rav4 to inspect the tires for damage, unusual or excessive wear and found the tires to be in almost new condition with plenty of tread. Nothing that would warrant the purchase of 4 new tires. We have lost all trust in regards to the service department and dealership as this experience clearly demonstrates a lack of professional ethics by only offering outrageous costing solutions to loyal, trusting customers while additionally making false claims as to actual repairs needed. A $30 thirty minutes state inspection, turned into a whole day $100 WASTE of my Saturday. They are careless and DON’T RESPECT their CUSTOMERS. I had an appointment at 10 but came early at 8 am, dropped the car and went home. I called them at 11 and they promised that it will be ready by noon. When I went their, it was not ready & their service coordinator promised to finish the job within 30 min. After 1 HOUR & 30 MIN waiting, I went to their front desk, & heard that he had forgotten to tell the techs in the back about my service. They told me that I could come back by 5 p.m & pick up the car. Their shuttle was not available to bring me to my house for another 45 min, so I decided to take Lyft home, paying out of pocket. When I was halfway on my way home, their receptionist called, informing me that the car is ready. The Lyft driver brought me back. Koons response to my reimbursement request, for the unnecessary commute expense, was a rude negative. I had written a very very flattering comment for them 3 years ago but under this management they have dramatically deteriorated. More
