Totally dissatisfied!! ll I had service my 2 cars before and now I'm bringing my 2013 Honda Accord with service part advisor ART (6ft tall with beard/bilingual), very polite ll I had service my 2 cars before and now I'm bringing my 2013 Honda Accord with service part advisor ART (6ft tall with beard/bilingual), very polite and corteus, my service was ONLY oil change per my previous service to another dealer no other service was required now (53k miles), now he says only $66 for oil, after 20 mins, mechanic show up with nasty cabin filters that need replacement, I mean it look horrible like they found on the trash, and that my cat needs lots of services, transmission fluid or flush $229, tire rotation $159 (I got semi new Falken tires so doesn't look that bad), and need the filters changed I asked: I need the filters only how much.. well that's 115 ok let's do it, after one hour came at 185!! And I was like how come he says 115!! Then he says 115 was only the filters, we'll I paid it, now comes the worse: I GOT INSTALLED a aftermarket smoked fog lights and at night on auto didn't work...not even for high beans ...how why?? So they purportedly disconnect my fog lights? Leaving then inoperable ? And left my rear brakes with a nasty horrible squeaking noise, that was not here before....really don't recommend anyone go back for service, complete ripped off More

My service rep was a female rep by the name of ALEX. She is not a very friendly person at all. Upon my arrival I waited 25min before being seen to meet with her. I approached her and she continued to say I will be with momentarily when she was dealing with no one, only siting there on her phone send text messages. This has got to be the worst customer service I have ever had from a rep at Honda World Downey by the service dept. I finally have her attention and we provide her the service plan for the free oil change with my Civic and we begin to ask her questions and she has no answers for us, only that our car will be available by 12pm. We said "ok, no worries we will be back." So me and my wife leave and go run a couple of errands and it hits 12:30pm no call we figure ok maybe the car is not ready. So we wait and wait and wait and wait, It is now 4:45pm, now keep in mind we dropped the car off at 9AM!!!! This means the service dept has had my car for almost 8hrs. I decided to call and I ask if my car is ready. The lady at the other end ask me "who my rep was", I said "Alex she is my rep." The lady places me on a hold then comes to tell me yes your car is ready and Alex called and spoke to you. I informed "I never received any calls and neither did my wife and we had our phones with us the whole day." I told lady "why would this rep lie like that instead of just being an honest person and say I forgot to call." I would have taken and said "ok, no worries" but to lie and say you called is the worst customer service I have encountered and I have been in the customer service field for 8+ yrs. So I leave with my wife to pick up the car and I get there and Alex is nowhere to be found. So I approach another rep and he asks who my rep was and I told him Alex. He said he has no idea where she is and I will have to wait. I told him I have been waiting for almost 8hrs for an oil change this is ridiculous I need my car. He walkies out to have my car delivered to the front and then proceeds to tell me "oh when you that customer service email it will be all 100's right?" I told him, "are you serious right now after the service I encountered today there is no way, I take customer service very seriously." He said, "maybe then you should just delete the email and not even reply." That only further angered me and only one thing crossed my mind, wait on this email write a review and go to the BBB for and file a complaint showing that this is how the Honda World of Downey service dept. treats their customer's. I never received my email, so I am going write reviews on all the social media sites I can and ensure that Alex's name comes up. I can only hope that a my post(s) reach a manager. More

Case BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!! I want to share AWFUL experience with Honda World in Downey, this is a letter I wrote to the manager Oscar Ramirez. Case and point, recently I went to the Honda service as I always do for an oil change, as most of the time after they check the vehicle you're "Certified Mechanics" make recommendations of what needs to be repaired "urgently." In my situation your mechanic assured me and advised me that my engine was leaking oil from the "O-Ring" and that it needed to me replaced FAST, ASAP. I asked for the cost and the service advisor said it would cost over 1,200.00 to replace the "O-Ring" because they needed to remove the timing belt to get to it. I told your service advisor that it was a lot of money and that before repairing it I would like to get a second opinion which I did. I went to a certified Honda mechanic and after inspecting the car he said that the problem was not coming from the "O-ring" instead it was from the oil pan seal, I went back to the dealer and requested another inspection and your "Certified Mechanic" insisted that the leak was coming from the O-ring and not the oil pan. Your service advisor even took me to see the car to show me where he thought the oil leak was coming from, when I saw the oil pan it was clear to me that the leak was coming from the oil pan seal, but despite the obvious your "Certified Mechanic" INSISTED it was not. Your service advisor recommended your mechanic to clean the area and for me to return in two days to see what was really happening, I complied. I left and came back after two days and finally your mechanic admitted after seeing CLEARLY that the leak was coming from the oil pan seal. He had been WRONG, a mistake that would of cost me $1,200. After that exhausting process and a lot of time wasted your service advisor told me that my warranty on that part expired and that I had to paid for the repair, I told him that I didn't think it was fair since I had replaced the whole part at your Honda dealer about 3 years ago and that perhaps it was not done properly, and/or perhaps your mechanic failed to communicate the issue prior to my warranty being expired. Your service advisor, "Freddy," told me that he would try to talk to you to see what could be done and your response was to offer a 15% discount like if that would actually resolve and erase all of your "Certified Mechanics" lack of professionalism to really address the oil leak. I ended up paying over 250.00d to repair the oil pan seal that was leaking oil and 3 years ago I had replaced the oil pan completely, all amounting to over 600.00 dollars to do it. If you don't believe me about this events that occurred ask Freddy C. regarding your "Certified Mechanics" mistake and his unwillingness to see his mistake until he was backed up against a wall and his mistake completely unveiled. Not only did your mechanic fail, but you as a manager failed in not properly handling this matter when you were made aware of it. Would you like it if a professional attempted to charge you $1,200, and then claim that something is defective when the problem is coming from another source; PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES. I ask myself. Are your mechanics well trained and how much knowledge and trust do your certified mechanics have to offer to the clients? If I would have not been the type of customer that always asks and gets a second opinion, I would have had spent $1,200 because of your mechanic's irresponsibility, shall I repeat I would have spent $1,200 and the leak issues would have not been resolved. This is RIDICULOUS, and on top of that your mechanic was still trying to deny his mistake to Freddy and myself. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE. It is so disappointing and sad how someone who lacks the knowledge about cars could easily be taken advantage by another, who supposedly has the education and training to make profession recommendations about your car. Wow, is that what Honda Downey has lowered it standards too? Why should I continue to trust my car at your service department or what would make me want to recommend Honda World to others. You may be saying to yourself this is one bad experience, but believe me I have had several at your department...a year after I had bought my car, my gas pump stopped working just and I had bought the extended warranty on my vehicle through Honda care. I was supposed to be covered not only by the extended warranty, but the warranty that comes from the vehicle, instead I was told repeatedly that-that specific issue was not covered by the warranty and that I had to pay for it which I did only to find out after, that you service advisor had lied and that the warranty should have took care of the repair . Conclusion: Honda mechanics are no different than what is outside, your "warranty" is a joke and a rip off, Customer service rep. "Nicole" is very unprofessional, will lose a lot of clients thanks to her horrible serv. next car will not be a Honda for sure More
I called ahead for an appointment for service. I spoke to Nicole who said come on in and we'll take you,no problem. When I got there I patiently waited for some to come out and put one of those number cones Nicole who said come on in and we'll take you,no problem. When I got there I patiently waited for some to come out and put one of those number cones on the top of my car. I was the first car in line and there was nobody else behind me. After about 10 minutes standing there I walked inside. Because I spoke to Nicole, I had to wait for her to finish with a customer who came in after me. A total of 5 people went ahead of me who came in after me. 20 minutes later I was still waiting for someone to help me. It was very frustrating and very inprofessional. I purchased 3 Hondas in the the last 6 years from Norm Reeves in West Covina. My sales guy STILL calls me a year later. Go some where else. If they can't help you for service then you shouldn't get the commission when I buy my 4th Honda in 2 years. More
The waiting room is very comfortable and nice. I really like it! But their charges for services are rip-off. I remembered when I first got my new car in 2006, they provide first oil change free of charg like it! But their charges for services are rip-off. I remembered when I first got my new car in 2006, they provide first oil change free of charge. And for the following several oil changes were at price of $19.99, and then it raised to $24.99. I don't know since when, the price of the oil change has gone up to $34.99! That's ok, I would still like to go for an oil change because I like its environment of being waiting for services. The worst part of this dealership is they are not honest about other services than oil change and they always ask you to do the "extra service" which is not included in the Honda's manual. For example, they charged my sister $80 for a tansmission fluid change recently. I was going to have an minor service for my car and asked the service rep and he told me it will cost around $200 for the monior service! What the heck are they thinking? They think all people are idots? As an online shopper, I checked and compared before purchases. The minor service will never be over $100 for Honda and Toyota. I will never go to this dealership unless they have changed. In my area, the Scott Robinson Honda has better service deals and they will not try to push you to spend more $$$ than you should. Once I drove in for an oil change after 4000 miles from my last oil change, and they checked my service interval on my dash board and it showed 40% remaining. The service rep told me I don't need to perform the service yet. She is very nice and save my bucks! (But I will not purchase my new car there because I found their prices are not competitive after dealing with their online sales.) More
