I contacted LA AUTO STAR to inquire about the 2010 MAZAD CX7 they li BUYER BEWARE Initially I thought I was dealing with a fair and honest business. I contacted LA AUTO STAR to inquire about the 2010 MAZAD CX7 they listed for sale for $9,990. I was able to test drive the vehicle which was clean an impressive looking. I asked if I could have my mechanic check it out before I buy it. My mechanic pointed out a problem with the emergency brake not holding if the car is in drive, and that there was an oil leak requiring removal of the oil pan. I was told that my mechanic didn't know what he was talking about. They suggested I get another opinion. I agreed to pay for Firestone (next door) to inspect the vehicle. They found they same problems as well as a steering and suspension issue. The repairs from Firestone listed costed $2,606.75. I gave them the report from Firestone. LA AUTO STAR said they would fix the emergency brake and take $500 off the price. I was not willing to buy the vehicle knowing that it would cost another $2300 to fix it. But they are willing to sell it to someone else. I call that unscrupulous business practices. BUYER BEWARE! More
