Relationships are important, even when they're between a dealership and a customer. The issue I have with service, anywhere, every time, is communication. For example, part of the service that was performed on my car was simple, yet my car was held hostage for over half a day for it. Let me explain. The technical part was done asap. When I agreed to have a battery replaced, I should have been told it would be a lengthy wait before that service would be completed. I did not find that out for several hours, when I called to see what was taking so long. At that time, I was told the service tech was working on other vehicles, and mine was in a holding status. In my opinion, dealerships will be more productive if they treat customers like family members they want to help, rather than as people they want to profit from. As a consumer, we are aware that service and required parts are not free. However, certain simple things I can fix myself. There was no need to hold my vehicle as long as you did to install a battery. I could have purchased the battery and installed it myself. Forgive me, but I am deeply unhappy with how this service ended. Please, tell me the truth up front and let me make the decision. Don't decide for me, then make excuses, and never tell a customer after you have informed them you will get their vehicle taken care of, that the service tech had other vehicles to service before he could get back to yours. I understand customer service is unique to each person, but at the bottom line, as a customer, even if we feel the cost was overboard, I will treat the service tech and personnel there with respect, and I want the same in return. That all comes from being honest. Forgive me —this visit hurt my feelings. I've been coming since 2014. More

Wish I could offer a better review, but this is the third time my vehicle was taken in for service and returned with an issue. Vehicle taken in for an oil change, and notified that it also needed cabin filt time my vehicle was taken in for service and returned with an issue. Vehicle taken in for an oil change, and notified that it also needed cabin filter, tire balancing, and rotation. All great additions. When vehicle returned, both driver's seat and passenger seat had been adjusted and not returned to previous setting, and there is a "yellow" warning on dash board saying windshield fluid is empty. How is this possible, it was full when taken into shop. I love the people at Lafayette, but the service could be better. I will have to fill fluid this weekend myself. More

Fantastic service seem to always go above and beyond. Andrew is a terrific service manager. Only place I know of when your truck is still under warranty they will give you a loaner if they have one.
