Should have known better I am sad to say that I feel very taken advantage of after buying my car from Bill MacDonald Ford in St. Clair Michigan. First off they tried forcing m I am sad to say that I feel very taken advantage of after buying my car from Bill MacDonald Ford in St. Clair Michigan. First off they tried forcing me to buy this elantra that I had no interest in whatsoever. The day after I looked at cars there they kept calling me harassing me to come test drive this elantra that I did not want. They also went online and looked me up on Facebook and messaged me on there. From there I explained I did not want the elantra so the man invited me to take another look at another vehicle. I picked out a Nissan versa. Price on the lot was $12,995. I know there are taxes and fees, but the total after my $1,500 down payment came out to $18,399.00. Therefore I still owed $16,899.00. Maybe that is right, I am not sure but that seems like a lot added on. I also learned I qualified for their first time buyers program which they failed to tell me. They told me a mandatory $1,500 down payment must me put down to get the car. I should have only had put $500 down but they lied to me, leaving me penniless:( Also a week later I took the car in because I thought it was not shifting properly, the one man was extremely rude and said I had to leave it in the shop. To add insult to injury, the rental car they gave me was that repulsive elantra that I did not want in the first place!!!! More

No more "new car jitters"! I was trying to sell my car with no luck whatsoever, and evey dealership I had taken it to gave me a laughable trade in value....until a friend sugges I was trying to sell my car with no luck whatsoever, and evey dealership I had taken it to gave me a laughable trade in value....until a friend suggested I take it to Bill MacDonald Ford. So out of sheer curiosity I went down on a Thursday after work. They gave me a very generous trade in value for my current vehicle-and that vehicle was going to be used as the down payment for the new vehicle, so he knew I had to get something out of the car to put down. I knew I wanted a Fusion, I just hadn't decided what options. As luck would have it, I had a great salesman (Adam Pastor) help me through the options. A special order that had not been taken ownership of had just been dropped off on their lot. I was unsure about a black car.....that wasn't what I had in mind exactly. So I sat on it overnight and got the other things together to sell my car the next day....and STILL wasn't sure about the black car. Adam said to come in and look at it again, as when we had seen it, it was overcast out-and nothing looks good in low light. He wasn't kidding! When I got there, he had, had it all cleaned up, and my "black car" was really a dark charcoal metallic-which I LOVE, not to mention the custom rims which I am rather fond of as well. They made it very easy and low stress. Adam treated me as he would want to be treated, a motto of my own. I will definitely buy from here again...and thank you Adam!!! More

bad bad bad I bought a used car from Bill MacDonald Ford, the price was good and the sales department was great. However that's where it ends. The car was les I bought a used car from Bill MacDonald Ford, the price was good and the sales department was great. However that's where it ends. The car was less than 5 years old. When I went to pick it up, it was filthy inside. They asked me to bring it back the next day and they'd detialed it. Next day, got it back it was still a mess, just smelled better and maybe vacuumed. After four times of taking it in to be detailed, I finally just did it myself. I mean really there were dirty fingerprints on the dash and the air vents that just wiped off.and splattered food on the head rest that came off pretty easy too. The car was also on empty when I went to pick it up and had some other issues as well. They did go fill it up but I had to wait about an hour. There was some paint bubbling on the rear wheel wells. The general manager insured me that they would take care of that at no charge. The car has been in the body shop now 7 times in two years to fix the same problem. The general manager assures me that they will fix this problem as long as i own the car. However the last two times that I called on it, I got the run around. First no returned phone calls, then excuses from the service department. Things like, we have to find a good time in the body shop schedule ... we don't have any loaners available ... and then the last one was that he had to have approval from the GM. This is ridiculous. Other problems arose as well. Paint peeled right off the area between the doors, bear metal was showing and they wouldn't take care of it unless I paid half. Also, I bought the car in the summer, come winter the rear defrost didn't work, and of course they wont cover it. The breaks were bad, the tires too. But they wouldn't help with any of it. In fact I've had it in for oil changes and they didn't even run the safety inspection or rotate the tires like they say. Finally, each time I've had to have it in, they give me a loaner car. Twice the car was out of gas and they told me to fill it and I'd be re-reimbursed. $50 in gas and they send me a $40 check. The cars they loan are crap, bad transmission, brakes, shaking, dirty and stink like smoke. The latest problem is again the paint bubbles. I have called every week, sometimes twice in a week, and have gotten no reply for over two months now. I called and asked to talk to Mr. MacDonald and was told that he was busy. I asked if i could leave my name and number and was told that I could but he probably wouldn't call me back anyway. More
