New Ram purchase After much research on new pickups, Ram had more to offer than other competitors. I have never owned a Dodge so we decided to give it a shot. We had been to another dealership and was told we could not get a Longhorn in a quad cab. I pulled the specs up on the internet and it directed me to Lake Norman Chrysler. I went on line to review the sales staff. Maggie Carrigan had high ratings and I knew that is who I wanted to assist me. Maggie's knowledge of the various models is outstanding. We never felt pressured or obligated to make a purchase. We told her our price point and after negotiation we felt comfortable with making the purchase. It was Alright I went to Lake Norman CDJR because I saw a car I wanted. It had all the features and everything I wanted. Therefore, I made a special trip up to the d I went to Lake Norman CDJR because I saw a car I wanted. It had all the features and everything I wanted. Therefore, I made a special trip up to the dealership. My sales person, was not pushy, and even understood that I was a bit weary and needed to sleep on it, to make a decision. The next day, I text him, and said, I will take it! He was able to get the paperwork rolling, and by the time I arrived, he had the car waiting, and all I had to do was sign the papers! My only issue, that really kind of bothered me after the sale, was the finance portion. As I was signing the paperwork, the Finance person told me, I had to get their "warranty" that would bump my monthly car note up by almost $80 dollars. He stated "I had to get this warranty in order to financed." Now, I happened to notice that on the bottom of the paper to sign, it said "This warranty does not need to be purchased in order to receive financing." It wasn't until I said "It is okay, I don't need the vehicle." that the gentleman tore up the paperwork, and just started printing out the other paperwork with the original terms, and he was silent at that point. I get needing to make a sale, but that was very uncomfortable for me, I kind of lost trust in the dealership from that point. I am glad I was able to come from that with my vehicle, but I don't think I will return, even for service, as that wasn't a pleasant experience at all. More
