Understand in the time of Covid and supply chain chip shortages resulting in reduced inventory car dealers are facing new challenges. Never had a car dealer refuse to sell me a car before.! With cars in shortages resulting in reduced inventory car dealers are facing new challenges. Never had a car dealer refuse to sell me a car before.! With cars in short supply found the vehicle I was interested in at Lake Norman. As of today the vehicle is still in transit, but was told it should arrive on their lot within the next few days. Kept getting emails from the dealership promoting the vehicle, with tag lines like “ get in touch and make this vehicle yours today.” I expressed interest in buying through their Internet Sales rep. I live in Texas. Asked if I could buy and pick up the last week in October coinciding with an upcoming trip to the East Coast. After checking with a manager he told me no. I said I would wire the payment, his response company policy prohibits. I asked to speak to a sales manager, and one called, said I had to sign a contract for the deal to be done before wiring a payment. The last car I bought was a Tesla, four years ago, everything done on line, drivers license uploaded, payment done electronically, 15 minutes for pickup, tags and title delivered to my house. E commerce and even fax machines are apparently not part of Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram business model in 2021. Why have an internet sales rep, if you won’t make sales over the internet? I admit I don’t understand the rationale for this business decision and I don’t have all the facts. Maybe the vehicle is earmarked for a local buyer? No one seemed willing to even discuss the possibilities of making a deal, once the answer was NO! A 20th century approach to doing business! More

Came in for “Express” oil change. I was told it would be one hour ad 45 minutes. This is the longest time I’ve ever been asked to wait at any dealer….ever (fir express service). Back story, new to area an one hour ad 45 minutes. This is the longest time I’ve ever been asked to wait at any dealer….ever (fir express service). Back story, new to area and in the market for a car. I thought I’d browse vehicles while I waited, but service is as important as the sale - and this makes me think LKN will be low on the list of dealers I visit. More
While we initially had a normal purchasing experience at Lake Norman it went south fairly quickly. This is our 4th RAM, we are apart of the fleet program and this is a company truck. We purchased our 2020 R Lake Norman it went south fairly quickly. This is our 4th RAM, we are apart of the fleet program and this is a company truck. We purchased our 2020 RAM 5500 truck brand new on May 4, 2021 with a Carolina Customs dump bed already installed. The very first time my husband went to dump it, (approx May 15th) the latch fails and he can’t get the tailgate down. We contacted Carolina Customs, the service person we spoke to walked my husband through how to fix it himself, which he did. The latch assembly had entirely wrong screws, they were too short so the whole assembly just fell down into the tailgate. We were sent two Yeti cups as a thank you for repairing the faulty tailgate ourselves. The next time we went to dump it, on June 15th my husband put the entire tailgate down vs using it as a spreader as his load contained chunks of concrete that would get caught in the spreader. He dumped his load and put the bed back down and noticed he no longer had a tailgate. It had come completely off of the bed and his load of concrete was dumped on top of the tailgate. We immediately contacted Carolina Customs about the situation and they informed us that they would fix it if we drove the truck from Florida to North Carolina. A truck that gets approx 10 miles to the gallon so that would be a minimum of $500 in gas, not to mention how long would it take to get the truck fixed? Are we supposed to stay in a hotel? Are they going to pay that expense? My husband would have to miss work and we would have to take a truck out of service and add miles to the vehicle. All in all that would cost us several thousand dollars. Since Carolina Customs was no help, I contacted Lake Norman CDJR, apparently Lake Norman and Carolina Customs are one in the same. Lake Norman also told us they could not help us unless we brought the truck to them. We suggested that they ship us a new tailgate and we would pay to have it fabricated on the truck or that we go to a fabricator and have a new tailgate made and installed, then they could reimburse us. We were and are open some sort of compromise other than us having to take the truck out of service and drive it all the way to North Carolina from Florida. Moving up the ladder, I then contacted RAM corporate as the truck should be under 30,000 miles bumper-to-bumper warranty. RAM only warranties the chassis cab and not retrofits even though the truck was sold with the bed and it was not something that we retrofitted ourselves. I now have paid $68,000+ cash for a brand new company vehicle that did not dump properly a single time and now has a plywood tailgate. Lake Norman CDJR will not warranty their own retrofit at their expense and has been the bottom of the barrel as far as customer service once the sale was completed. Save yourself the headache and buy from any other RAM dealer, especially if you are coming from a different location or you are purchasing for a fleet. I am now out an additional $3000 in attorney fees, in order to try to rectify this situation. Something I should have never had to do with a brand new truck if Carolina Customs and Lake Norman CDJR stood by their product and had done right by their customers. More

She is a no pressure trustworthy sales person and always goes above and beyond for her customers. So of course when we were looking for another SUV we went straight to Maggie. She was attentive to our needs and located the exact vehicle that we wanted. We love our new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Thank you for another great experience! More
