Sales person was excellent, manager was a goon. Most of the buying experience was good until it came down to negotiating and paying for the add on running boards. It was agreed that the running boards would be added as part of the deal which should have meant at no additional cost. The sales person clarified this with his manager and got approval. However, during the financial paperwork, I noticed that the purchase price had been increased to include the "free" running boards. I told the finance guy this was not correct, he then called in the manager, who then tried to convince me that the dealership was indeed paying for these, even though my purchase price had now increased to include the running boards. He was a bit of a goon and claimed that he'd be fired if he did deals like this. I should have walked out, but by now, I'd invested several hours and the added price was going to break my bank account. This seems to be pretty typical car sales math...wish I could find a dealership that truly believes in repeat sales. More
