Liars. Poor Salesman tricks. My experience with Lake Norman CDJR was overall very terrible. I am not the one who care to give reviews much, but this experience was so bad that I want someone who plans to go there to at least get mentally prepared about what they might get into. So, I wanted to either buy an SXT plus or lease an R/T. It all started when I called Mr. Willie Brown, sales rep at Lake Norman, he said that car is available and you can come over to have a look. I went down there which is 40 miles away. When I was looking at the car he came to me and said it got sold out and he wasn’t sure. I gave benefit of doubt and started looking at my other option which is leasing an R/T manual transmission. It took me a few a days talking over phone and email with people over Lake Norman to finalize the deal. His Manager, Mr. Nathan called me and finalized a deal at a price we both agreed on (of course there were many other things I sacrificed like free service and oil change, as he said they can’t afford to give that). one day before when I was suppose to get the car, I filled in their application form, gave my SSN and all the information so they can verify the credit. Day before the final purchase I talked to Mr. Brown to double check if all the information checks out and our deal is still what we talked about. He gave me rock solid assurance that everything is same as what we talked about you just come here tomorrow and drive the car back home. I got my friend to drive me there it’s more than 1hr drive one side. Sales man showed me the car we took a test drive and during the time of paper work his manager (same guy who initially finalized the deal) started doing last minute negotiation and changed my lease value to 425$ from 380$ by saying that I fall in tier 2 category and they cannot do 380$ anymore. Then they had us waited there for around 2 hours during that time asked to see photo of my SSN and what not. I literally had to send the receptionist in to check whats happening because everybody started ignoring us. It was such a disappointment and I have never been lied to so much in my life. They literally tried to just get me there by lying as much they could. Wasted my time, money and played with my emotions. Guess what few weeks later I got my credit report and it was still 750 which is definitely tier 1. Disclaimer: If you are not the one who cares about your money then it’s the perfect place for you. I was surprised when I pulled up the first thing that can’t did was throw me the keys and said let’s go for a ride that’s all it took when we came back I wanted the car bad and even give me an extra on my trade-in as I knew I was underwater on the price of my Lexus I enjoy doing business with both Kent and Chris and would recommend them again and I have never bought a car where the dealership fills your gas tank what a surprise!!!!!
