They were going to remove residue from failed install then have software update. After another hour trying to upload software they were not sure if it worked, so gave me guidance to try and complete process from home. If that didn't work, then I should TAKE VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM to have them do it! REALLY? (1) Part install issue was a lie and I can prove it. (2) Take it to dealership I bought it from....WTH! Honda is Honda. Sorry I didn't buy from you but apparently that makes a difference??? Extremely disappointing experience. More
My original sales person wrote the paperwork for $155 work. So I went with $43k back check to pay and they would give me the car without the next $155 even though the sales man circled and signed his mi work. So I went with $43k back check to pay and they would give me the car without the next $155 even though the sales man circled and signed his mistake and what I signed off he Said no problem it's my mistake. Went to get my new car and had to walk to the nearest bank to get another check for the balance that they messed up. During negotiations I asked about having after market guard rails roof rack etc put on. They wouldn't put roof rails on for and then said sure we could do others. Went for that promised service and no one "could find it in the sales agreement' Convenient for them since they wanted $418 for a 4 hour jobto do the instsall. I went from there straight to a weathertech and they did it for $75 and it took 30.minutes while I waited. Crooks all the way. More
Last year I got an inspection and they put the sticker really high and it obstructed my view. So I asked them to put the sticker lower this year. They said they would do what they could. Well that was a b really high and it obstructed my view. So I asked them to put the sticker lower this year. They said they would do what they could. Well that was a blatant xxxxing lie because this year they put the sticker even xxxxing higher. I’ll never be going here again. So Lamacchia Honda basically said to go xxxx myself and have a nice day. More
Wish I could rate them 0 stars... Husband took our vehicle there for diagnostics. He specifically asked if there would be a charge, was told no because our vehicle was still under warranty so diagnost vehicle there for diagnostics. He specifically asked if there would be a charge, was told no because our vehicle was still under warranty so diagnostics were free. When he picked up the vehicle they explained that they didn’t run a full diagnostics because when they put it on the lift they discovered the tires had low tread. Then they told him he owed $60 for the diagnosis because the tires weren’t covered under the warranty. He argued about paying and even spoke to a manager. The manager told him they had to recuperate their costs and had no way of waving the fee because my husband didn’t buy the vehicle there and was not already established customer. What a terrible way to build a customer base. Lamacchia Honda clearly operates through lies and deceit and has no intention of honoring the guarantees or word of their staff. Will NEVER do any business with this lying, deceitful, dishonest business ever again! More
Purchased a $40,000 Pilot from Honda City today simply because I couldn’t stand the idea of dealing with Lamacchia’s Service Department again. because I couldn’t stand the idea of dealing with Lamacchia’s Service Department again. More
Poor customer service Every time I visit them for service they never complete the work that my vechicle is there for. It always take repeated attempts to fix what is wrong. Every time I visit them for service they never complete the work that my vechicle is there for. It always take repeated attempts to fix what is wrong. The service manager AJ Lamacchia is never around. He is always “out” of the office or in a meeting. I have had nothing but horrible experiences at the dealership. They will be nice when they want you to purchase a vechicle. After that good luck. More
Excellent customer service I didn’t know what I was looking for or even if I was prepared to purchase a vehicle, thankfully Brittany was there to help. I didn’t know what I was looking for or even if I was prepared to purchase a vehicle, thankfully Brittany was there to help. More
Poor customer service After buying 4 cars from them and my family buying several cars from them I'm shock on how Mr. Lamacchia's son treated me. I scheduled an appointment After buying 4 cars from them and my family buying several cars from them I'm shock on how Mr. Lamacchia's son treated me. I scheduled an appointment for a car inspection and oil change and when I got there he said he was not going to put his dog away for me. That his dog is part of his company and if I didn't feel comfortable with his dog that I can leave. So I waited a whole week to inspect my car and to not get the service is very disappointing. I can't believe that he was incentive to my fear of dogs. Customers should be treated better than that. Now I have to wait another week and get my service done by another Honda dealer. I had to go to Honda City to get my service done. I will never buy a car from Lamacchia. More
Poor Workmanship and financial nightmare Poor workmanship and a financial nightmare is what I received at the hands of Lamacchia Honda. In June, my van that is handicap accessible for my daughter who is a quadriplegic was driven to their dealership for a fuel pump recall and parked in their lot. They then drove the van into their service bay and performed the fuel pump recall. However, after, the van would not start. This van has hand controls for my daughter to drive. Lamacchia Honda is familiar with this feature as they work with United Access which specializes in handicap accessible vehicles on a regular basis. They diagnosed the problem and advised us that it was an electrical problem not a Honda issue. So the nearest United Access that specializes and staffs mechanics that are trained in her EMC system is in Rochester. I had the van towed to Rochester and they began dismantling her EMC system as per Lamacchia Honda service department and the van still would not start. United Access had the van towed to Garber Honda in Rochester and just like what I thought, it most certainly was not an electrical issue. It was a Honda issue due to Lamacchia Honda. With the guidance of Garber Honda and the Honda area Representative they identified the issue and determined the van would not start because the “Vehicle was being updated and lost voltage locking out the system (when serviced at Lamacchia Honda). Once Garber Honda reprogram the PCM with an update it fixed the issue. Lamacchia Honda’s service departments tech completely wiped the vin # (vehicle identification number) from the main Honda computer of the van. The EMC controls could not recognise the vehicle due to the memory being wiped out. I took the van in for a recall at no charge…….WRONG!! My bill at United Access, Garber Honda and two tow bills totaled $3,230.92. I called and spoke with A.J. Lamacchia and he did acknowledge it was their error over the phone however would only compensate me $710.92. Leaving me with $2,720.00 which is the United Access bill. The $710.92 is Garber Honda and the two towing bills. I said that I felt they should pay half of the United Access bill, as United Access did do some maintenance work on the van while they had it. I asked for $2,070.92. Which is more than fair as my van never would have been at United Access in Rochester if Lamacchia Honda’s service department wasn’t negligent by wiping out the main Honda computer and hastily diagnosing and advising us with the wrong information way back in June. I did not get the van back until September. It took that long. I have since spent more money on legal fees and they basically said see you in court. AND YES THEY WILL. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stay clear as their workmanship is poor and their customer service and ethic is even worse. I will share this experience many times for many years. More
I leased my Civic with the dealer and went on to buy it before the 3 year lease was up. I had brought it in a few months ago for the back wheel bearings to be replaced and the service guy wasn't very helpf before the 3 year lease was up. I had brought it in a few months ago for the back wheel bearings to be replaced and the service guy wasn't very helpful. When I called to check the status of the service in the afternoon, since he had told me he would call before noon, he was unable to "find" my car. Obviously that wasn't reassuring. The wheel bearings were replaced under the Power Train warranty and I was satisfied with the work, not the experience. I brought my car in this time for the front bearings (still under warranty) and was told that it would be a $45 dollar diagnostic fee just to look at the car. If the car is under warranty I shouldn't be charged a diagnostic fee...it's pretty simple. Not happy, wouldn't recommend, and definitely won't be returning. More
