I paid for a replacement key back in March, and four months later, I still don’t have it. Mike claimed in May he had the transmitter but not the key — which makes no sense since the key is a rebadged Jaguar unit you can buy online. Since then? Nothing. No transmitter, no updates, and they’ve stopped answering my emails as of mid-July. I’ve remained professional and patient throughout this ordeal — but let’s call this what it is: taking money from customers with no intention of following through. Personally? I call that theft. It’s especially frustrating because I had planned to order thousands in parts for my Evora — from a CV axle to brake rotors and a steering column. But that’s off the table now. Apparently, blatantly ignoring paying customers is the model here. I’m now having to escalate a $200 transaction to legal channels, which is absurd. All because one advisor couldn’t follow through — and the dealership let it happen. Lotus (and Lamborghini) owners: You have better options. Toyota can service the Evora’s engine and suspension. Mercedes can handle the Emira. Audi can handle your modern Lamborghini. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that respects your time and money. If you this dealer and end up with Mike Thomas as your advisor, whether for Lamborghini or Lotus, run. I hope this post helps someone else avoid the same experience I’ve had with Lamborghini / Lotus Charlotte. More
