Car damaged at dealership My car was in for 33k service. Car was damaged which necessitated body work and repaint. Great experience I don’t normally do these reviews but I felt Tom Detterline reserved some praise. This is the second SUV I bought from Tom, the first 3 years ago was I don’t normally do these reviews but I felt Tom Detterline reserved some praise. This is the second SUV I bought from Tom, the first 3 years ago was a Land Rover Discovery and that experience was great. Fast forward 3 years, and Tom sent me a how are you doing, your leases is coming due and you can get out early, let me know if you are interested. I told Tom what I might be interested in, he took pictures, sent me invoices, quotes prices all through email. No pressure. There was a 2019 Discovery that met my price point and equipment. We scheduled a time for me to test drive. It was a great vehicle but I wasn’t excited but Tom let me take it home for the night. I wrote him that night that It just wasn’t me and I would wait to leases end to see maybe if a 2020 Evoque would get to my price range. He immediately emailed me back and said he had a feeling that I wasn’t going to be happy and he located a 2020 Evoque that met my criteria and a few dollars (I mean less than $5) over my monthly price. We setup a time to test drive it and as soon as I showed up at the dealership, Tom had the Evoque gassed up, cleaned up and ready for me to drive it. I was in between meetings so he told me to take it home and let him know. I knew as soon as I drove the car 2 miles it was the one for me. I text him I wanted it, we did the paper work over email. I showed up at the dealership the next day. 25 minutes later we were done and I was driving home. That is customer service. I may never buy another car anywhere else, Tom is a shining example of how good customer service and knowing your customer pays off. Thanks Tom, see you in 32 months! More
