I recently purchased a brand-new 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander Platinum Hybrid Max from Landers Toyota. My salesperson, Allen, was polite, and the service department got my OEM tow hitch installed on t Highlander Platinum Hybrid Max from Landers Toyota. My salesperson, Allen, was polite, and the service department got my OEM tow hitch installed on time. To be clear, this review is not a ding on the sales representative, but it is clear that dealership management and corporate do not stand behind their product or respect their customers. From the start, the buying process was frustrating. I basically had to beg management to provide accurate numbers until about 24 hours before signing papers. To make matters worse, they even put a completely different VIN on the original buyer's order, leaving me to wonder if they were hoping I wouldn't notice so they could switch vehicles, or if they simply didn't care enough to get basic details right the first time. Upon taking delivery, I discovered the vehicle was loaded by Gulf States Toyota (exclusive distributor) with non-OEM, aftermarket accessories. This distributor covers all Toyota dealerships in Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. The body side moldings, running boards, passenger floor mats, and cargo mat are all third-party knockoffs rather than genuine Toyota factory parts, despite being listed directly on the window sticker right alongside factory options. They even tacked on a "mandatory" $75 fee for a cheap set of USB cords, yet failed to even provide the basic screws for the front license plate bracket. The car drives fine, but it’s sickening to look at knowing how it was cheapened out. When I brought this up, management refused to remove or replace the aftermarket moldings, claiming a "risk of paint damage" for basic 3M tape removal. Instead of stepping up to replace the non-OEM accessories with authentic Toyota equipment, management placed the entire financial burden on me to fix it. I’ve ultimately decided it’s not worth spending hundreds out of pocket at a collision shop to undo their choice, but the total lack of support was ridiculous. Toyota Corporate was equally unhelpful, hiding behind distributor policies instead of stepping in. To top it all off, instead of calling me to pick up my registration paperwork, they mailed it four hours away to my military home of record address. When I asked for help getting it shipped back, management completely refused to assist, forcing me to drive eight hours round-trip just to retrieve my own paperwork nearly a month after the sale. They willingly chose to lose a customer over games, distributor nonsense, and complete administrative laziness. This was my first Toyota, and because of this experience, it will easily be my last. What a shame. Other buyers of Toyotas within the Gulf States region should be aware that OEM side moldings are attached at the bottom of the door as opposed to the middle. OEM running boards are all black as opposed to black and silver. More
I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a new truck & I can't express enough how fantastic my experience was, primarily thanks to Randy Ellis aka PaPaw that I worked with. From the moment I stepped onto th can't express enough how fantastic my experience was, primarily thanks to Randy Ellis aka PaPaw that I worked with. From the moment I stepped onto the lot, I felt welcomed by him & valued, which set the tone for the entire process. Randy took the time to understand my needs, preferences and budget. He genuinely listened and guided me toward options that were perfect for my lifestyle. His extensive knowledge about the Toyota trucks available made it easy to find the right fit. What truly stood out was the no-pressure environment. Rather than rushing me through the process, he encouraged me and invited me to test-drive some options. His patience and enthusiasm made the experience enjoyable, rather than stressful for someone who hadn't been on a car lot in 20+ years. When it came to pricing, there were no hidden fees or surprises. Randy explained my options and the finance manager was detailed in the costs of all of my options, ensuring I felt confident in my decision. This transparency built a sense of trust that is often hard to find in car sales. Randy has also followed up with me after the sale to ensure that I am satisfied with my new truck and answered all my questions. This level of customer care is rare & speaks volumes about his dedication. Overall, buying a vehicle was as seamless experience & I couldn't have asked for a better experience or team to guide me through it. If you're in the market for a vehicle, I highly recommend seeking out Randy Ellis aka PaPaw & Landers Toyota - it's worth it! More
I Shuntia Bush purchased a vehicle from here. I never received any paperwork before tags expired. I contacted Marcell Jefferson in finance before my tags expired, I also went there and was told I never received any paperwork before tags expired. I contacted Marcell Jefferson in finance before my tags expired, I also went there and was told that the department was closed and I could not be help. I was told I could get and extended tag by Marcell Jefferson. I came again after my tags expired trying to receive the extended tag that expired on December 21, 2025. Once again I came in on December 22nd or 23rd I was told that the head man wasn't there and some woman who worked for Kia, was stepping in for him. The woman was very rude and condescending towards me. I was told it was my fault that I haven't received any paperwork on my car. I was very embarrassed by how I was treated. Then she came back with some paperwork sayi g she has to send out for a new title. The problem is I never knew how much my tags would be so I could pay. Now that Toyota paperwork never came to me, I am know responsible for the penalties and late fees. The problem is because Toyota didn't provide me the paperwork to get tags I'm not able to work because I work for Uber Drive. I can't make the extra late fees and penalties for my tags. I would not recommend to go here to get a car. Thanks Shuntia Bush More

Alli George was great to work with again when buying a 2nd vehicle. However, the reason for buying a 2nd vehicle was due to a poor service department. Matt Almond has shown how Landers Toyota takes resp 2nd vehicle. However, the reason for buying a 2nd vehicle was due to a poor service department. Matt Almond has shown how Landers Toyota takes responsibility for damaging a vehicle. We took our Avalon in for A/C repair and somehow the mechanic shorted everything out. Matt and his team did a horrible job on communication since October 2024 when the car was dropped off for repair all the way to buying a replacement in July 2025. His comments and lack of attention to this issue has been brought to light. I just hope people realize this is not the same Lander's Toyota that made people drive miles away to purchase a car. More
The sales guy was not the most proactive. Wasted a day with intermittent back and forth conversations with a car I was prepared to buy, only to be told that they do not deliver vehicles and Wasted a day with intermittent back and forth conversations with a car I was prepared to buy, only to be told that they do not deliver vehicles and I’d have to make the 400 mile trip to purchase in person. After all this time spent to be denied a sale, there were no apologies, just a goodbye. Afterwards, I visited CarMax and easily purchased the same car trouble free and it is currently being shipped. In my experience I would not recommend Landers Toyota. More
