This "pushy salesman" tactic is an attempt to squeeze every penny they can out of a new car customer, and is a waste of the customer's time. To me, this is like trying to teach a pig to sing - you are doomed to fail, and besides it annoys the pig. I told the car salesman on the front-end what car with what features that I wanted, and what I was willing to pay. Mr. Johnson told me that he could beat that price and he had the car that I wanted in stock. When I came in, Mr. Johnson had my car ready, I gave his finance person my check, and I drove away in a new 2018 RAV-4. The whole process was quick and easy. I know that a lot of people like talking to salesmen, but I do not. Lander's Toyota will do what is needed to please the customer - including being respectful of their time. More
