BUYER BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased a classic VW convertible as a used car thru this dealership & it was presented as follows......"Completely restored", "the nicest VW conve I purchased a classic VW convertible as a used car thru this dealership & it was presented as follows......"Completely restored", "the nicest VW convertible that we've ever seen!","always stored in a climate controlled garage & only driven on sunny days", "no matter how or where you look at this car, IT IS LIKE BRAND NEW", "there is absolutely nothing that needs attention. It's perfect! ..........Those were the actual words used by this dealership in describing the VW I bought. How could I possibly go wrong? Especially when having a Chevy dealership standing behind their sale. - - - Well, let me tell you. This car looked beautiful because it went thru a PURELY cosmetic restoration. It is a mechanical NIGHTMARE & the undercarriage & frame are riddled with rust. I had taken the car to A VW shop that works on classic VW's for a tune-up, oil change, etc. & left it. They took photos of undercarriage & informed me that I should take car to a body shop to have it evaluated to determine if, due to the extensive rust, it was safe enough to be road worthy. In addition, photos showed bent front coil spring/strut, engine oil leak between cylinder head & engine block which would require engine rebuild. Additional photos showed leaking clutch slave cylinder, worn tie rod bushings. - - - Shall I go on? ..... So far the dealership has offered to give me $3K to repair the car or $3K less than I paid for it to buy it back, both offers I find laughable. What are my options? I've let the owner (Kevin) know that I am willing to talk, but so far have heard nothing back. It seems as though I'll have to resort to legal means to resolve this issue. ........This all began because I had owned a 1968 VW about 50 years ago, enjoyed so much, and wanted to do it just "one more time". Terry Eckman explained the finance information in an easy to understand format. The other employees were also friendly and efficient. I got a 4000 .00 better deal on the exact same truck and it is I’m my driveway now. These guys were honest and answered every one of my questions with respect and because of that my payment is almost 100.00 lower than what I was quoted at Schultz!!! Absolutely Terrible Shady Place Had a very long drawn out time getting decent tires after being promised better tires than the dryrotted ones that I was sold the truck with. Finally they got ahold of me after several months and said id have to pay half for the tires because there wasnt enough money in the deal for him the do it all. THE TRUCK SHOULD NOT HAVE PASSED NYS INSPECTION WITH DRYROTTED TIRES. I BROUGHT IT BACK BECAUSE THE BRAKES WERE MAKING NOISE. THEY SAID THEY "ADJUSTED THEM". ONE MONTH LATER I WAS TOLD BY MY LOCAL SHOP I NEED BRAKES ALL THE WAY AROUND. Come to find out now they put passanger tires on it to save money instead of Light truck tires as the sticker in the doorjam states are required. Now 10 months later I am buying 4 new tires. Super sketchy place. Wish I had went somewhere else. All I can do now is advise others to avoid this dealership. BOTH THE BRAKES AND TIRES SHOULDN'T HAVE PASSED INSPECTION. BUT THEY JUST THREW A STICKER ON AND SOLD IT ANYWAY. BUYERS BEWARE! More

These people are super to deal with! They really cared about my budget and worked with the banks so I didn't have to chase around! My car ended up $40 a month less than what I expected!
