Salesman provided inaccurate information. I recently purchased a 2002 Lexus 430 SC. I asked the salesman if their mechanics had checked for any oil leaks under the car. He replied that Landmark would not let a car leave its dealership if there was an oil leak problem. I took him at his word. When I returned to my home and parked my car in the garage the next am I found traces of engine oil on the floor. Since I live 75 miles from the dealership it was not convient for me to return the car to the dealer for their evaluation. So I took it to a reputable repair shop in Olympia and they pointed out that the valve cover gaskets needed to be repaired and that I needed to replace the spark plug wiring system since the leak had contaminated the plug cap. So I informed the dealer and then after not getting a response I had the repair done at a cost to me of over $500. I sent all of the paperwork to the salesman and he informed me that the manager had no intention of trying to help with this repair bill. I even offered to pay for 1/2 of this. To me the honesty of the dealership is of top importance. The response provided by the sales person was just not factual. He could have said "I will have our mechanics check this and let you know." They certainly had time to do this. More
