In September 2012 we went in to purchase a used 2011 Durango Crew. The staff was so anxious to make a sale that they overlooked the details. Initially with Larry I told him I was willing to pay not a Durango Crew. The staff was so anxious to make a sale that they overlooked the details. Initially with Larry I told him I was willing to pay not a cent more than $500 a month. The head finance guy said he was absolutely sure he would be able to meet those terms. I decided that based on the information given, I would do the deal and take the car home. After 6 days I took a trip to Oregon and back and received a letter in the mail saying that they couldn't secure financing. I had to take the car back and pay a mileage fee. This takes me back to the finance guy who had me sign the paperwork. He was in a rush and pushed me through the process. Whenever I would take some time to read the print he would say "this is all that means" then push on to the next section. When he got to the part where it said that I would be liable for mileage if they couldn't get funding approved he said "all that means is that we'll get the loan finished for you." His manner was rude and inconsiderate. I ended up not getting approved for the Car. (Have since purchased two new cars .One at Young Chevrolet and another at Toyota Bountiful) When I returned the car they said that they could do a pre-approved deal for $816 on a different brand new Durango and they would ignore the mileage fee. This is not the way to do business. They said they would ignore the fee if I bought another vehicle. I said no. Another issue is that Larry Said he would sell the Car for $29,000. When the papers were written up the finance guys had it around $31500. That was dishonest and a stretch given that NADA and competitors had the price for the vehicle at between $26,000-28,500. I know about making margin because thats what I deal with at work every day but it was still a bad error on the dealerships part. In the rejection letters I received they stated the reason for rejection was "value of collateral lower than the loan amount" An easy way to remedy that and make a sale would have been to lower the price to the actual market value. Industry xxxxxxcan argue it all day but in the end they have to meet what the competitors are doing. They lost the sale and made things bad for a measly 7.9% add to the sales price. In essence they got greedy. I felt so exposed and ridiculed and made to look a fool. Someone to be taken advantage of. I didn't buy because the staff were inept and cold. I figured it better to pay the fee and leave with self respect than to do business with LHM bountiful. Now every time I see a dodge durango no matter the year I thinks of LHM Bountiful and what a terrible dealership they are to do business with. Just want to note that Wes was very helpful but seemed like he had too much pressure from the top. My opinion is Toxic leadership. More

The entire negotiation was done online by email. Both Larry and Tyson were a very big help in picking the right Dodge Journey. And when we got to the dealership we were in and out very quickly. We came into Larry H Miller with service issue regarding a jeep wrangler purchased in 2010 it ended up requiring a new engine and the payment was difficult to come up with. We met with Jody and reviewed our a jeep wrangler purchased in 2010 it ended up requiring a new engine and the payment was difficult to come up with. We met with Jody and reviewed our options. we were able to combine costs and package them into the purchase of a new vehicle for my wife. We not only left with the wrangler (which I have loved since we purchased it) but also with a new vehicle for my wife who is now in love with her Dodge Journey. We we know this was not easy and are very grateful for all of the help the Jody and Carlos provided us. Thank you for a all the work done and a wonderful experience working with Jody and Carlos. More

There was high pressure at the end of the month and the General Manager admits the stress of their staff. The sales person was only a pawn between the customer and the sales manger. When asked to talk to the sales manager I was told he would not come out of the office to see me. The sales person admitted that he was shaken. I felt trapped during this process. I even asked if my company had discounts and nobody checked on this for me. Later I found out we do have a discount available but it was not even entertained. The General manager said he would approve the Bad deal to keep the deal for the dealership rather than letting a bad experience go for the buyer. Phill is the one who made this experience a negative one for me. I have been a very faithful patron of good dealers in the past. I have purchased 4 vehicles from one dealership that offered a great sales and service experience. I will not recommend this dealership to friends, family, or my company. Taking in my vehicle foe the paint protection, my NEW VEHICLE came back with scratches on the hood and had more scratches than the vehicle I traded in. I had to make several calls to check on the service and had no return calls. The vehicle had to go back twice and they sill have not fixed what was wrong. I'm still expected to make a 4th trip back so they cane fix. I don't think so. I will take my vehicle for service where I had bought the one I traded in. "They hear You" More
