This is the first new Hyundai we have ever purchased. In fact, this is the first new car we've had in over 10 years. We are completely enjoying the vehicle and owe it all to Dan. My name is Alfred Sandoval and this Fall I was thinking about getting rid of my present cars a 2001 Chrysler PT cruiser and a 1996 Chevrolet Astro Van. With the help of my friends Janice and Ted I started about getting rid of my present cars a 2001 Chrysler PT cruiser and a 1996 Chevrolet Astro Van. With the help of my friends Janice and Ted I started looking at cars on the internet to see what would be the best car for me to last a long time. After looking at dozens of cars we narrowed it down to the Hyundia because of the looks, features, and the outstanding warranty because I would have the car for many years. I really liked the looks of the Sonata so Janice and Ted and I decided to go test drive one. We went to the Larry H.Miller Dealership on Coors and met a very nice young man named David Rivas who has outstanding people skills and knowledge of the product we were interested in. We test drove two cars (Sonatas) and David did an exceptional job explaining the features of each and the warranties and offered to work with me to get the most dollars out of my two cars as trade-ins and the best financing package so I could afford as much car as possible. The next day I went back with my two cars and began the process. The experience was excellent because David and Sales Manager Valentino put together trade-in, financing, and maintenance package that made my decision easy to purchase a 2013 Sonata. I purchased a beautiful Red Sonata with Black interior. After agreeing on the purchase, David took me on a tour of the Dealership and introduced me to everyone, and showed me the mechanics working on cars in the maintenance shop. He even showed me where to take my car and where to stay during my visits. We met Ed a Service Writer and he explained where to go and how to put my car in for service. The maintenance shop was spotless and this part of the tour was very impressive. Because it was dark when we were finishing this process, David invited me back the next day to review the wonderful features of the car and how to best use it and get great mileage and performance. David gave me his number and told me to call him with any questions or concerns, at any time. He reminded me that I would bring the car in every 3 months for service and they each time would wash the car. This was the most pleasant car purchasing experience I have ever had and I would recommend Larry H. Miller Hyundai to all my friends and relatives to purchase a new or used car. Thank you for allowing me to share my experience. I Love My New Car! Alfred Sandoval It even had a full tank of Gas when I left the dealership. More
My experience was excellent. I picked out a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid that I was interested and test drove it for a couple of hours. Joshua Benavidez was knowledgeable about the product and took the time Sonata Hybrid that I was interested and test drove it for a couple of hours. Joshua Benavidez was knowledgeable about the product and took the time to explain how to operate a hybrid and it's many features. I also spoke to the general manager, Alex Peters. He was very personable and made me feel good about my experience, the dealership and the price I was paying. Kevin Ortiz handled my financing paperwork quickly and efficiently. He explained all warranty options well. I received a follow up phone call from a woman at the dealership about one week later but I am afraid I don't remember her name. I would recommend this dealership to anyone that should ask. More
Were helpful in that the salesman let me drive and compare several models. In the end he tried to sell me a year-old Elantra with 20,000 miles on it for $24,000.00. They valued my trade in at $5,000 w compare several models. In the end he tried to sell me a year-old Elantra with 20,000 miles on it for $24,000.00. They valued my trade in at $5,000 which brought the price down. That was the amount I still owed on my trade in so he added that amount bak into the the total financed price saying "You can't expect us to pay your debt." When I pointed out that the price was too high, they were getting my trade in for nothing, and I already had financing from my credit union he called in his sales manager. This guy was super aggressive and demanded several times that I call my husband at work so he could explain this complicated math stuff to someone who would understand. I walked out at that point. I did more research and bought a 2013 Elantra from another New Mexico Hyundai dealer. Used my credit inion loan, got a fair price and stayed within my budget. Sold my trade-in to a third dealer who paid off the balance due on that car. There are auto dealers who deal ethically but Larry Miller isn't one of them. More
I was not satisfied. However, All I can say is do your homework and wait a couple of days before buying any car. And never pay dealer markup. homework and wait a couple of days before buying any car. And never pay dealer markup. More
We are very pleased with our new Sonata and the service we got from the entire staff at the dealership. Cheryl and Vern were on top of everything and it was actually fun making the purchase. We had dealt we got from the entire staff at the dealership. Cheryl and Vern were on top of everything and it was actually fun making the purchase. We had dealt with Cheryl thru the internet, and had been notified of a new delivery of 2012 Sonata's. We stopped by to see what they had. Vern took me for a test drive, explained everything and had me sold when we got back to the dealership. Now he had to deal with the "hard sell" my husband and they met him deal for deal. This is our second Hyundai, the first a 2007 Azera, which we loved and found to be one of the most comfortable car's we had ever traveled in, but wanted something with better economy without having to give up all the comfort's, the SE with Turbo engine met those needs and we are looking forward to traveling in style. Several visits had been made to this dealership over the last year and each time the sales people were easy to deal with, there was no pressure that we weren't quite ready. So the dealership overall is excellent and Vern was top notch. Hope to do business with them again in the future. More
I took my car in for starting and overheating issues. they fixed the starting issue (fuse box $400) and said that fixed the overheating problem. They said they drove it for 5 min and it didnt overheat. they fixed the starting issue (fuse box $400) and said that fixed the overheating problem. They said they drove it for 5 min and it didnt overheat. I asked if they would drive it farther to be sure so he said he (Chris) would drive it at lunch time. Which ended up being to taco bell which my GPS says is 1 mi away. Amazingly it didnt' overheat. I drove home from the shop with 2 young girls in the car and my ride gone. At mile 5 it started to heat up by mi 7 it overheated. Which is exactly how far I told Chris it took to heat up before he fixed it. I cant believe the lack of follow though this dealership has. Especially when its probably a $1500+ job that they will certainly not be getting. I took it to the dealership knowing it would be more expensive but they should be the best, they are not!!! More
I went into the dealer several times before the Genesis Coupe came out to get a brochure, ask when they would hit the lot, etc. First problem was that I left my name and number with one of the salesmen and Coupe came out to get a brochure, ask when they would hit the lot, etc. First problem was that I left my name and number with one of the salesmen and he said he'd call me as soon as they came off the truck. He never called me. Strike one, go to another salesman, Mateo. I drove there as soon as I found out they had some in. Just so happens, they have exactly what I'm looking for. I talked to Mateo and asked to schedule a test drive, to which he replied that I'd have to get a credit check first. Strike two, but I'll deal with it. Today was the day. I drove over there as excited as a kid on Christmas. I talked to Mateo, the second salesman, and agreed to do the check so I could test drive it.After I finished, He proceeded to take it in, and stayed in the office for a few minutes while I patiently waited for him to come back out. He came out with the keys and told me that they don't want to let a bunch of people test drive the car unless they are serious about buying it. He then said, "You are in a great position to buy right now with your credit and trade-in, you could drive away with it today". I said, ok. If you can match the Invoice +$500 +TTL, I'll sign right now, that $6000 mark-up you have over MSRP is ridiculous. No haggling, no nothing, he just said "that's not even close to where we are". I asked him if the Test-drive was off. Yep. After this, I called the Sales Manager, Rick. I asked him why I wasn't even dealt with after showing that I was intent on buying the car. He equated my offer to a $20k mark-up, and then hung up on me. Next step, go to the other Hyundai dealership in Albuquerque, Southwest Hyundai. Got my test drive, and was ready to buy. But Southwest is owned by the same people that own Larry H. Miller, and they stone-walled me with the dealer trade so I couldn't get my car. I finally ended up driving 10hrs to Dallas/Ft. Worth and got a better deal than the one I offered to Larry Miller and Southwest. It was worth every mile to get what I wanted for a fair price. UPDATE: The Service Dept. seems worth dealing with. I haven't had to use them much, but they've been quite helpful and knowledgeable when I did. They're separate from the sales dept. so can't necessarily fault them for being under the same roof. More
