My wife and I live in Grand Rapids Michigan, we were looking at a used vehicle at Lasco Ford, in Fenton Michigan. I contacted the dealership on Tuesday (10/22) that my wife and I were interested in this looking at a used vehicle at Lasco Ford, in Fenton Michigan. I contacted the dealership on Tuesday (10/22) that my wife and I were interested in this used vehicle. We made an appointment to look at the vehicle on Saturday 10/27. The salesman whom I made the appointment with called me on Thursday to verify the appointment and someone else from the dealership called me on Friday to make sure if we had any questions. I took off from work early on Friday since my wife, son and I were driving across the state to look at this vehicle. We arrived in Fenton on Friday night at around 9:00pm, since our son was asleep in the backseat, we decided to drive to the dealership at look at the van before our appointment. Although the dealership had closed 2 hours earlier there were still 5 or 6 salesmen hanging out inside. We booked a hotel room for the night and made plans to head to the dealership in the morning. We arrived for our appointment at 9:00 and was informed by our salesman that apparently the minivan that we drove across the state to purchase had been sold last night after the dealership closed. We were given no explanation to how this could have happend. All we were told is that the van was not available anymore. They asked what kind of features we wanted in a minivan and were offered some that had none of those features. They found one similar but when we asked where it was so we could look at it, we were told it was out of state and it would take a couple of days to get it to the dealership. That is not an option when we drove across the state once to buy a vehicle that was sold after they "closed" the same night we arrived. I'm very disappointed with my experience this past weekend. We took a test drive, my husband , the mechanic, crawled over and under the car, we negotiated the price and finalized the contract. He showed us exactly what we were looking for. My wife and I recently visited Lasco Ford in the market for a preened vehicle. I do not do well with pushy salesmen. We got ahold of Mr. Smith and he was excellent.
