First off we deeply appologize for this situation getting out of hand like this. There is no excuse and this is has all been handled already. Lasco did indeed request the electronic funds cancellation with Ford and there was an error that did not have this process pass thru the system. Lasco just was notified of this today and has already fix the concern and the money has been transferred to Ford Credit and the contract is 100% null and void at this point. As stated before, this is not normal practice and I deeply appologize for this happening. I would like to make it up to the customer by offering a deep discount and loan on a vehicle that works for them. This is in hopes that this can solve their automotive needs and make up for the troubles they may have encountered. Jay Lasco Lasco Ford P.S. I am currently getting good contact information to make contact right away with the customer to solve this concern.

I have already contacted Robert Schmelzer he is my attorney and a member of my family. I will respond as he advises me.

Aug 24, 2012 -

Lasco Ford responded

I have spoke with Mr. Schmelzer, he is aware of the accounting error and has confirmed with me himself of the resolution being in place. I assure you this was not taken lightly and was at the highest level of importance when brought to my attention. I would encourage you to call Ford Credit at this time to get verification if that helps. We have the confirmation numbers of the EFT and as I stated before nothing was done wrong, it was somehow not processed days ago when initially requested. I hope you can understand that none of this was our intention. Jay Lasco

Thank you for your quick response. I have contacted Ford Credit and they are still telling me there has been no cancellation nor has the loan been rescinded. I will wait until Ford Motor Credit has confirmed what you have told me. At that time I make any other decisions with regards to your offer. I do not want to seem unappreciative but you have no idea what I have been through. I wish the others in your dealership had responded in a professional manner to rectify the situation. I have your telephone number will contact you at the time of confirmation and I've had an opportunity to speak with Bob. Thank you, Monica March

I can also provide you will our confirmation number if you would like, just let me know. Jay Lasco

Wow I really understand your concern and when purchasing a vehicle new or used, understanding the warranty at time can be confusing. I wanted to first say Thank you for your business and I want to help you understand what warranty you may have and where it is honored at. On non-Ford products your extended service contact can be honored at your purchasing dealer or participating dealers depending on the relationships with the warranty company......have you has the opportunity to visit our service department concerning your issue?? Please advise, as I would like to help resolve your issue

Jun 14, 2012 -

I_Mallick responded

The message from Lasco Ford is another misleading statement. I personally checked with the warranty company; and “Warranty company’s representative explained to me that, the warranty I have had expired on February, 14th of 2012”. Not only warranty expired I learned that the person in Finance department also tricked me to buy warranty by marking a check marked on-Preferred Wrap option- which means, from the very first day when this vehicle was sold back in 2007. Unfortunately While I was surfing and inquiring about Lasco Ford on the internet, I realized what kind of dealership Lasco Ford is. I am not sure that how many other problems this car had which I will learn with the time. My next step I am taking this matter to Better Business Bureau of Detroit, and also I will try to get in touch with Ford Motor Company to inform them about this dealership.

Lasco Ford responded

We are trying to reach out and help resolve the issues you are stating and would like to set up an appointment to come in and visit the service department and let them take a look at the service issue you are having along with allowing us to look into the warranty information. You have not given us a chance to look into your warranty and any repairs that need to be done to your vehicle. Based on the information you received from your local repair shop they may not have been aware of the correct information as to what warranty to look into. We once again would like to assist you with your issues and clear this up.

Readers, I urge you not believe what you read from Lasco Ford’s response because I been to their facility, they kicked me around and when I got upset they told me to leave the facility. I did not go to the facility without appointment, I talked to some body name Jonnie-I asked him his last name, he insisted not to tell me his last name anybody can imagine what kind sales and services this dealership will provide. Be very careful if you have to purchase vehicle from this dealership.

Jun 15, 2012 -

Lasco Ford responded

Mr. Mallick, We are offering to look at the vehicles concerns and also to re-review the warranty questions you have about your contract. These are the concerns you have mentioned and we are willing to reach out to help. We will no be able to do anything unless you are willing to accept of offer to help.

As I mentioned in my previous message; I visited this dealership, and I didn’t forget the humiliation I had on that day. Jonie whoever he is told me the same what you are telling me now. So I believe I am on right track, I will inform the BBB then I will take this matter to the court. I confirmed with warranty company today that the warranty I have is expired.

Jul 11, 2012 -

Lasco Ford responded

Customer had warranty coverage on their vehicle, they had a concern about their vehicle, yet continued to drive and did not take it in for repair. The warranty then expired causes the repair not to be covered. Lasco Ford can not be held responsible for this decision the customer made.

Jul 11, 2012 -

I_Mallick responded

That was the Lie; which I found out from warranty company that warranty expired and Tony in finance took $2291 from me.

Jul 11, 2012 -

Lasco Ford responded

The customer had coverage when they left the dealership with the vehicle. Then tried to get repairs covered after the warranty expired.

Jul 11, 2012 -

I_Mallick responded

No, I bought a car on 08/25/2011 and paid $2291 for warranty, that warranty expired on 02/14/2012 warranty company told me the dealership has charged me warranty starting from January 2007. If its not ripping off a customer than what it is.

Jul 11, 2012 -

Lasco Ford responded

The warranty company is correct and so was Lasco on the date. The warranty you purchased and all of the others alike all start from the inservice date of the vehicle which in this case was 1/07. The high-end vehicle you purchased is what cause the higher dollar amount of the warranty. You paid for coverage, which you had from 8/25/11 until 2/14/12. So when you chose to not get the work done during this time, it left Lasco out of control of helping beyond this point.

Jul 11, 2012 -

I_Mallick responded

You are wrong again, because Tony Brown in Finance told me I am buying a bumper to bumper warranty it will cover not repair the vehicle but I will have a rental, and warranty is 72 moth or 100000 miles from the time I bought it. Tony Brown did not tell me that he getting me to buy where he had marked Preferred wrap-that I learned from the Warranty company what is that mean. I am sure what I am right, and whoever is posting these answer is not telling the truth.

Jul 11, 2012 -

Lasco Ford responded

You had the coverage and chose not to use it until expired. The paper work clearly shows the exp. date and from the time you bought it is never the coverage start time for the time and miles.

Jul 11, 2012 -

I_Mallick responded

I am not a car sales man, how would I know, when a finance manager is telling you that you have a bumper to bumper I confirmed it that it will cover all of the repair and Tony's answer was yes he did not mentioned it once that he charging me $2291 from the 01/07. Why should I pay for the years I did not have that car.

Jul 11, 2012 -

Lasco Ford responded

The bumper to bumper is not the issue, and you did get charged for coverage since 07'. I will try to explain again. You purchased a warranty that expires 72months from the inservice date or 100,000 miles on the odometer. This means you had coverage from 8/25/12 thru 2/14/12. You tried to get repairs after the coverage expired so of course it can not be covered. The dollar amount being $2291 is for the coverage based on the model of vehicle and this being a high-end car even short coverage is expensive. You paid to be covered from 8/25/12 thru 2/14/12. Everything is correct.

Jul 11, 2012 -

Lasco Ford responded

Didnt get charged for coverage since 07', Sorry typo

Jul 11, 2012 -

I_Mallick responded

No, You are wrong when I bought at that time, and also warranty company explained two things to me 1. the person who sold warranty he marked preferred wrap which means that I am paying for warranty from 01/07. 2. Even if warranty was not expired the this car need is not covered. Therefore both salesman, and finance person both lied.

Customer purchased a vehicle knowing it would need work in the future. Lasco made no promises of repair expenses and offered to help with the repairs if the customer so chose. Lasco offered to pay for a portion of the repairs and the customer did not choose to have Lasco to do the work.

I do understand your concern and every manufacture has different rules and guidelines as does every dealer. We are a high volume store, so first let me apologize for the time it took to get you into finance, we at times do get busy. Our Finance Managers are there to go over what is available and at the time you can always choose to accept or decline, but final paper work on your actual deal is signed with the sales professional. Again I do understand your concern and buying a car can be stressful and long at times, good thing most consumers do it only every three to four years.

Apr 29, 2012 -

drkdani45 responded

The finance manager, Tony never went over what is available. The sales person never went over the paper work. I had to call to find out why the price was higher than I thought. This was done to hide the cost of the wheel and roadside service coverage that I didn't want. Tony told me he would throw it in because I was a ford partner, which wasn't true. He told me the payment would be the same and not add another year to the term. He never went over other finance options. He played a game about getting a coupon to get the warranties that wouldn't change payments. He knew what he was doing and not that he was busy. He purposely increase the amount by 2200 dollars. The other finance manager stated that the paper work could have been corrected. After he thought about what he said, he backed tract on his comment. I don't like being lied to and than try to cover it up. I have never had this experience at a GM dealer.

Apr 30, 2012 -

drkdani45 responded

As I said before, I did make a mistake about the term of the loan. However, the term or paperwork wasn't reviewed with the finanace manager or the sales person. It is still unprofessional to blame your own sales person or the customer. However, I was lied to about the warranties and extended coverages and the cost. When someone says it is thrown in it means no cost and then hide into the cost of the truck is totally dishonest. Saying your payment is the same, it means that it is also free. Your finance manager, Tony, never said the payment would be the same but the term has changed, while pretending that he had a coupon. This is also very dishonest. I hope you realize it and refund the the warranty and the two extended coverage of tire and roadside service that I don't need.

Jun 15, 2012 -

Lasco Ford responded

We would like an opportunity to review the warranty you have mentioned and see if there is anyway we can get you a refund and cancel the warranty. Please let us know a time you would be able to come in and review these documents with us. We do not have a name or number to allow us to look into this further, although, we are concered and would like to see if we can help.

Jun 20, 2012 -

drkdani45 responded

I don't think your concern about this issue. The two warranties are the Advantage which supposedly is canceled. It hasn't been refunded yet. The other warranty is Sentry Guard tire and wheel and road and key. This was supposedly thrown in according to my conversation with Tony in finance. It was hidden in the price of the car and therefore I didn't notice it before I signed the paper work. The next day I discovered it. Also it showed it was 1800 dollars and not the 1230. Therefore I received a warranty that I didn't want and I was overcharged. I tried to get it canceled and everyone including Matt Lasco stated it can't be canceled, the paperwork can't be redone and tough, you signed it. I had a call from the new car sales manager. I talk with him about the problem and he stated that he will talk to Mr. Lasco. I never heard back. If you want to contact me, you can call me on my cell 810-610-4175. My name is Keith Daniels
