Unethical practices I have only had to write horrible reviews a handful of times throughout my life but this place is by far the worst. I was referred over by a friend to one of the salesman who works at Autopark Honda. We already discussed the deal, colors and everything prior to me coming in. All I asked is I have my previous lease looked at and assessed for damages and any repairs I would have to pay before turning in my old lease for a new one. The salesman said no problem and had another employee come over to my old lease to take a look. The salesman than made a phone call and stated “everything was good to go and the damage on the civic would be under the $500 deductible. I said great and moved on back to his office. As we were doing some background info, the salesman would continue to answer phone calls right in front of me like I was non existent. One of the phone calls was another customer. The salesman’s took the customers credit card number over the phone and repeated it verbally as he was writing it down in front of me. I had my phone out the whole time and he never would have realized if I took a picture of the number. As he was writing it down, I asked him “are you serious?” He looked at me and said “just one minute.” I asked him to leave and do that somewhere else and not in front of a complete stranger. He came back and apologized but continued to try and justify his actions. We moved on and when I got to the finance office, they tried telling me I didn’t have the car looked at for damages and I could receive a bill from Honda. I explained that the salesman had someone look at it on the premise and told me everything was good. This went back and forth for some time. This was after I had the keys to the new lease and moved everything over to that car. After going back and forth, they took the old car and ate the damages. I went home with the new lease. That was all Saturday.....today I get a phone call from the salesman. He apologized for his actions but than asked me to “forget” the survey I may get in the mail. It would be a bad reflection on the dealership and him is what he said. That’s great, I love being harassed when I’m at work. I told him that I was going to pretend he didn’t just ask that of me and he preceded to tell me that it could affect his family. Honda, I love how you try to make me feel guilty for your own mistakes. I didn’t realize sharing client information was acceptable and calling customers to ask them to disregard surveys was a way of life for you. Oh wait there’s more.....the person that referred me, the salesman called him to ask for their SSN for the referral AND to discuss MY situation with them too see if I was upset. Needless to say....I will not be back. You want the surveys with all 10’s but god forbid you mess up. You want us to forget all about it. More
