Disappointed with the whole experience Wanted to buy a jeep wrangler they had for sale. Was lied to by the salesman and by the finance manager. I have a 720 credit score and was informed th Wanted to buy a jeep wrangler they had for sale. Was lied to by the salesman and by the finance manager. I have a 720 credit score and was informed that the best they could approve me for was 7%. I specifically asked him if that was the best rate he could give me and he said yes that the 7% was the best deal they could do. I laughed at the finance manager and told him that i had already been approved the prior month at under 4%. It was ten minutes later he called and said he "pulled some strings with his banker friends" and could offer me a better rate of 5% ... Took my purchase to carmax and got a better deal and 3.59% thru first citizens bank. The whole process was exactly why people have a bad opinion of most dealerships. And yes I know they make money from selling the financing at a markup. 100% markup is comical. And they lost the sale... I would arrange your own financing prior buying. They also said the jeep had pasted a rigorous inspection process and was in good condition. Took it to my mechanic prior to signing and they said it was in horrible condition and definitely not to buy it...just my two cents., More
