I looked here for a used Ford Escape, finding my candidate vehicle online. In the end I didn't end up going with them for the car, but it was purely for me deciding on a different model/trim altoget candidate vehicle online. In the end I didn't end up going with them for the car, but it was purely for me deciding on a different model/trim altogether, NOT the dealership. The salesman and the dealership were fantastic! I live in central NJ, 2 hours away. Before even coming up to visit, the salesperson was very courteous over the phone, offering to answer any my questions. There was absolutely no pressure and they were VERY informative. They even went so far as to record a detailed video to give a better perspective on the quality and state of the vehicle. The vehicle was immaculate and priced VERY fair. In fact, if I were to have gone with the car, little negotiation would have been necessary. I HIGHLY recommend this dealership as it was nothing but a most pleasant experience. If I am looking for a vehicle in the future, I will certainly look to them first! More
I traded in my 2012 Ford Escape for a Ford Explorer. The only reason was that I missed having an Explorer. I have had several Explorers over the years but recently thought down sizing would be best. Not f only reason was that I missed having an Explorer. I have had several Explorers over the years but recently thought down sizing would be best. Not for me. Missed it. Nevertheless, I originally went to Healey Ford in Goshen. My usual sales associate wasn't present so I had to deal with someone else. Boy, I felt disrespected. He wanted to quickly go over the "numbers" rather than show me the vehicle. As he was entering my information, he was dozing off!! Then he disappeared for 20 minutes. I was about to walk out then he returned. He offered me an insultingly low price for my trade-in, 2012 Ford Escape Limited. I left and told him I was going elsewhere. I had an appt in Warwick and I thought how about Leo Kaytes. Their review were great. I walked in and met with Robert Melay, a true gentleman. He was very informative, respectful and offered to review several vehicle options. I also met with Bryan and Susan, who were each professional and kind. Leslie, sales manager, helped to coordinate a fair transaction. I LOVE MY NEW EXPLORER!! I would absolutely recommend my family and friends to Leo Kaytes. Just wished they were closer. More
My car was in the shop and I was walking around the new cars waiting. I told Chuck I was here for service and he answered my questions and never pushed me for a sale. I fell in love with the Focus and e cars waiting. I told Chuck I was here for service and he answered my questions and never pushed me for a sale. I fell in love with the Focus and ended up buying it that day, if he had pushed me, I doubt I would have bought the car. I told the service department I was getting a new carand they helped move my stuff from my old car to the Focus. It was just a really nice unexpected car buying experience. I was a little afraid of the birds they had in the showroom, but the cat made me feel right at home. More
Some members of the staff are more helpful and friendly than others, so the quality of experience really depends on the people with whom you do business. Both Anthony in sales and Leo Kaytes himself were e than others, so the quality of experience really depends on the people with whom you do business. Both Anthony in sales and Leo Kaytes himself were extremely curteous and helpful and both personally did their best to ensure that I got the car I wanted. More
I went to Leo Kaytes Ford after a horrible experience at another Ford dealership in Goshen. I was fortunate to have a Saleswomen named Katt assist me. She was friendly, very knowledgeable and she took the t another Ford dealership in Goshen. I was fortunate to have a Saleswomen named Katt assist me. She was friendly, very knowledgeable and she took the time to help me find the right car for me. I felt no pressure to make a decision on my initial visit. After a few days I came back and leased a 2012 Ford Fusion. Perfect choice for mE. I am grateful to Katt and Anthony the finance guy for making this a very pleasant experience. More
1. I purchased a used truck for almost $30k, was told I would get a manual with it, never did, when i asked the front desk for it they where abrupt, saying I had to buy it. 2. I brought my veh in for trans would get a manual with it, never did, when i asked the front desk for it they where abrupt, saying I had to buy it. 2. I brought my veh in for trans work, sat for 9 days w/no work done, had to complain alot, Mike Padham just kept promising to work on it, and had an attitude about it too. I had to go over his head to Leo Jr. and he had it fixed. I also had a very deep gash in my seat (which was not there when I dropped it off) after picking it up... hmmm I wonder who was mad I went over his head? 3. Had to have a hinge fixed on door paid my invoice $100. and a few months later... broken. 4. my son made an appt to see a mustang with a salesman, my son traveled 45 miles to get there and he was stood up by the salesman and they didn't even have the car he had originally asked about. In fairness to Leo Kaytes, Leo Jr. did work to get my auto fixed, and John Hewitt, the service manager, was very polite to me and took time to show me the repairs on my car. But my feeling is that have "family" members work at your company can really be a deficit to the way you look to the public, and after all you can't fire them!!!! More
I have been a very satisfied customer of Leo Kaytes Ford for years - our family has purchased 5 in the recent years - new and used. The service department is excellent, and that - along with the straightfo for years - our family has purchased 5 in the recent years - new and used. The service department is excellent, and that - along with the straightforward sales staff - is what keeps us coming back. Great job! More
These guys said they would take care of missing parts on a $22,000.00 car after i signed the paper work. I wasn't informed of the missing parts until after all paperwork was signed. When I asked them abou a $22,000.00 car after i signed the paper work. I wasn't informed of the missing parts until after all paperwork was signed. When I asked them about it a week later all I got was "sorry our paperwork doesn't show we owe you anything". Steer far away from Leo Kaytes Ford. You'll regret it like I do :( More
Our family has purchased several vehicles from Leo Kaytes, most recently an Edge for myself and a Focus for my college-age daughter. Our experience was great. The sales and financing process was han Kaytes, most recently an Edge for myself and a Focus for my college-age daughter. Our experience was great. The sales and financing process was handled very smoothly and professionally. We use Leo Kaytes for all of our scheduled maintenance and, again, the service department was completely professional, handling everything in a timely manner and with good humor. They are a pleasure to do business with. More
They really are awful, money grubbing, scammers. Be careful! I called in the morning and asked them if they had any 2008-09 Ford Escapes on the lot because I was looking to buy one. They put me on careful! I called in the morning and asked them if they had any 2008-09 Ford Escapes on the lot because I was looking to buy one. They put me on hold for FIVE MINUTES to come back on the line and say..."yes we do." That should have been my first sign. It took a sales associate five minutes to find a 2008 Ford Escape on the lot... come to find out, you can see them from the window where the horrible sales associate was sitting. (Incompetence #1) Then, I asked if they had any white ones. He said "Hold on let me check"...*waiting time* Then, he said he did and that it was priced at 19,900. So, I, eagerly wanting a new car wanted to go check it out. After arriving, I test drove it and proceeded inside to price it. It took this manboy at least 5-8 minutes to do everything!(Incompetence #2) He came to the desk and showed me the asking and "FINAL" price...21 grand and change for a USED FORD ESCAPE! I can buy a new one for that much! I told him that he said 19 on the phone and he became confused and left the desk again. He came back like I said, a good 5-8 minutes later and had a new price, the "REAL" price that was set which was 19,700. No negotiation. We all know that dealerships over price used cars but are usually willing to negotiate. Not these guys, they want to take you for all your worth! Next, he and another trade-in appraiser proceeded to play in my car for ten minutes checking it out. When he returned he said that they did not know the price of my trade in yet until the "Specialist" figures it out. We sat there for another 10-15 minutes while my soon to be father-in-law gave him a hard time for the over priced car he was trying to sell me. After my F-I-L asked him why it was taking so long to price a trade-in and why the car we were trying to buy was so over priced the salesman got up and left for another 5 minutes and returned. They did not lower the price of the Escape but had decide my car was only worth 400 dollars... 400 DOLLARS!?!?! I just put new tires on my car worth 300 dollars! Swine. We walked out as soon as they had the xxxxx to over price their car, but low ball my car. It is truly amusing to me how this dealership thinks its okay to jack up their prices claiming that "it's got a sync system, has had its tires rotated and a 110 point inspection." which in their mind justifies that 5 grand over price. My 2001 Nissan Altima has a new stereo-system with sony xplod speakers, two new tires, and a air freshener, you should give me 10 grand for it! Idiots. More
