We must say, from the sales rep Mike, to the GM Lee and the finance manager we had a great experience. I have already referred friends who are looking to purchase a new car to Mike and the Lester Glenn dealership. More
Current vehicle is a 2007Nissan Quest purchased 07/17/2010. Needed a safe vehicle for my 4 children who were 13 and under, after my former vehicle was totaled. I experienced multiple, serious pro 07/17/2010. Needed a safe vehicle for my 4 children who were 13 and under, after my former vehicle was totaled. I experienced multiple, serious problems with the vehicle starting 3 days after purchase. I had asked for the car fax the day of purchase and was told they couldn't get them for some reason. Was given the car fax on 07/24/2010, only to find out that the vehicle was disabled and towed after an accident. Attempted to have Joe Horsfield take the vehicle back, and was told that he would fix everything. I have more to say on that, but for the sake of space, I will leave it at Mr. Horsfield denying he put something in writing on my contract and me being bullied into keeping this lemon of a car. My "certified pre-owned vehicle" was brought in 3 days later on 07/20/2010 because: the vehicle shook while driving, the windshield wiper fluid didn't work properly,& the passenger side brake lamp didn't work. It was found that the vehicle had a bent axle, a weak washer pump, and a brake light short. I insisted to sales manager Joe Horsfield, that Lester Glenn take this vehicle back. It should be noted here, that I had to purchase this Nissan because my former vehicle was totaled. I had Joe's word, in writing, that Lester Glenn would take this vehicle back if my GAP insurance didn't cover 100% of my old loan. Joe, promised all these issues would be resolved. I let the repairs get done. I noticed a hood shake on this vehicle and the wiper fluid stopped working again. The hood was adjusted, but still shook. I was told the hood problem would be fixed even if Lester Glenn needed to replace the hood. I told Joe to take this vehicle back, because it was riddled with problems. He told me there was no way he would take a car back without me paying for it, and I produced my bill of sale showing his written guarantee that Lester Glenn would take it back if GAP didn't pay, which they still hadn't. Yet again, I agreed to have repairs performed. Fast forward to 08/16/10, almost a month after owning the vehicle and it was in the shop for a rattling noise under the vehicle, the hood still shaking, and the engine starting after I pressed the sliding door button on the remote. They put straps on a loose heat shield and disabled an after-market remote starter (that I was never made aware of or was mentioned on the purchase sticker)and they disabled it! Honestly, it is my understanding that the technician needed to contact the customer BEFORE making any repairs. By the way, all these repairs were made at the GMC dealer, even though we purchased it at the Mazda dealership (now Chevy) and was told during my tour of the facility that all my repairs and service would be done there. Another sidebar, William Albert, a tech filling-in at GMC on 01/10/14, told me that Lester Glenn doesn't sell certified Pre-owned Nissans. He was surprised when I showed him the original window sticker stating such. Anyway, there was the time that Bill Peak, also at GMC lost my keys during a repair visit. That was an especially memorable repair. I have recurring issues with the vehicle, the windshield wiper fluid not being pumped out correctly was addressed several times. Incidentally, it was on a visit to my own mechanic for a completely unrelated issue, that all-of-a-sudden, my wiper spray worked correctly! Your guys never fixed it. My hood STILL shakes to this day. I should note that on the 2nd occasion I discussed this problem with Joe Horsfield, and told him I found it very distracting, his advice to me was, "Don't look at it." Yes, that's a direct quote. Truly helpful. I believe with all my heart, that Joe didn't want to deal with me and that is why he shipped me off the GMC for my repairs. Again, I digress. I purchased the extended warranty on this vehicle when I purchased it. I have had multiple problems with the TPSM, Windshield wiper assembly, sliding doors, hood shake, oil leak, coolant leak, etc.. that occurred while under warranty, were "fixed" only to reoccur. Now, that the vehicle's extended warranty is expired, your company will not fix anything without payment, EVEN THOUGH these were preexisting problems not rectified completely. I was advised recently by Sherif, that used cars are not elligible for lemon law. That is a lie. Anyway, I am done being sold defective merchandise, lied to, and the recipient of shoddy repairs by your company. My children, myself, and the special adult I drive for a living are not safe in this vehicle. I have let each and every person I know how many problems came along with this van, how I was treated at Lester Glenn, and that they should look elsewhere when purchasing a vehicle. I am active in the community as a scout leader, and I come in contact with multitudes of people. I live my life with integrity and I expect the same from the businesses I deal with. Maybe it's possible Lester Glenn didn't know how many problems this Nissan was riddled with, but when it came to the company's attention, their representative shouldn't have bullied a mother of four into keeping this lemon. I think it's time for Lester Glenn to step up and take some responsibility for this debacle. I want Lester Glenn to take this Nissan back and pay off the loan. There is an approximately $4-6K discrepancy between its Kelly Blue Book/Edmunds value and the loan balance. I have seen a used Volkswagen Routan that would accommodate my family of 6on your lot for $18,953. My payments are $372, and I want them to stay there. That includes a GAP policy and extended warranty. I want the same thing, and this time, I have already seen the car fax and I know that the vehicle hasn't been hit. More
